What a bummer, back to the drawing board. Thanks for sharing.

I just have to concentrate and focus! There's really no excuse for not placing an arrow before you pull the trigger! I won't make that mistake again!

We're good now, Barneet has fixed this and I took two shots today at the club, and in both cases, the safety held, after the bow was cocked. Ready for the hog hunt Saturday!

Bummer that you didn’t have the camera facing the crossbow. That would’ve made one heck of a slow motion video.
@boomerrangerron3 жыл бұрын
YES, I thought I had it covered, but I was zoomed in too far! Cost be nearly $90 to ship it back to BARNETT! Who knows what the total cost would be, but glad I had all my digits out of the way when the string popped!

I have a raptor fx , once the string snapped after 4 or 5 shots.

Since it's been repaired, with the exception of the shot that jumped the nock, the bow has performed flawlessly since. Check out these videos: kzbin.info/www/bejne/d366aWtmgrdqors kzbin.info/www/bejne/d5-nY4N5jLiCpaM

So,it wasn't that bad case with my Barnett TS380,that string broke after some 70+ shots?Costed me almost like I was firing some .223 bullets. :-D

Yes, Chuck I agree and Barnett has them, it just didn't work! Thanks for watching!

You guys were concentrating so much on safety, that you forgot to put a bolt in there. Thank God no one was injured!!! You’ve sustained enough injuries already with those things. BE CAREFUL!!!
@boomerrangerron3 жыл бұрын
Yes, it was careless and pretty stupid but that's how accidents happen! I was just commented to Nathan Fry about his experience and not putting an arrow in his compound bow! So I thought the video was a good idea.

what is crazy is putting out this video for the world to see..
@boomerrangerron2 жыл бұрын
Well Rick it's my top viewed video! Accidents happen especially when one's not concentrating and multi tasking as one does when one creates videos for KZbin. So, hopefully by sharing this mistake, my viewers will be more careful.

You never put a bolt on that’s why the string broke all that energy had to go somewhere so it all went to the string
@boomerrangerron3 жыл бұрын
Yes Jason, that's correct, however the Anti Dry Fire should have saved the day! I just shot today, took two quick shots at the club, and in both cases the safety held after the bow was cocked, so we're fixed now and ready for Saturday's hog hunt!

@@boomerrangerron I would be getting on Barnett’s ass and making them pay for new string and cables and making 100% for fact the limbs are fine and there isn’t any hair line splinter cracks in them before just shooting it

@@jasondukette4155 I sent the bow back to Barnett via UPS on a Monday, and by Friday the bow was returned to me with brand new string, server and cables! They completely restored the bow at no charge! No questions asked. Great customer service. I may have caused the original problem because my cousin Tony had manually attached the rope cocker to the bow using nlyon stays, and it may have caused the bow not to fully engage the safety after it did cock the bow!
