I live with my grandparents who are just as strict as yours. All of the things that felt uncomfortable to talk with my grandparents about, I had to learn all of that on my own. Hell, because of how religious my family was, they made me think it's illegal to be gay, lesbian, non-binary, transgender, and all of that. The worst part is when I told them about my gender identity and sexuality. I was grounded for an entire year. I still live with them now and will be until I can hire an aid or caretaker due to my disabilities. So, I'm a white straight male, I am the youngest of three boys in my family, I would say very Christian but the southern type. I'm in my 30s now and yes, it is still very uncomfortable for me to talk about adult things with my parents, even adult medical things. Like if I were to try and ask my dad about "Hey is it supposed to hurt when becoming erect?" my dad would make a new door in the wall faster then Goku using intent transmission, and just hell that is even now, talking about growing up stuff when I was 13 years old, made me feel like I was the one being interrogated on the spot, like no joke not until I got with my fiancé did, I even learn how to use protection. I found it was much easier to talk to other people, but that too was a problem, it backfired on me. Now unless it's strangers over the internet I don't talk about stuff that can't be publicly seen. Like I have only one best friend that I met through playing Phantasy Star 2 Online, I talk to him about a lot of stuff, but his not that easy to really talk with since whenever we "hang out" his getting drunk and trying to play a game and talk about stuff is hard enough has it is. I've always thought that if I ever have kids boy or girl, I'd make sure that they could always come to me about anything, but I don't think I will have kids, too many factors say otherwise, one being the very Christian mom, who doesn't like my fiancé that much.

And growing up in more of the south I never really had anyone I could talk to, school was bad, hearing about how bad this and that was, etc, i didn't even have my first drink until 20 i think, I can't remember. I mean just like how in hono's video only worse, I ended up watching a more adult like movie with my parents and I sweated buckets through it, then now watched 50 shades of grey with my fiance and was telling someone about it as a joke in front of my parents and yeah that made me feel uncomfortable as well. I mean, had my girlfriend then now fiance staying with me during one 4th of July, and this is when I was still living with my parents, got up that morning and she was changing clothes, I told her to hurry up or hide under the covers cuz I knew my mom was about to come in my room (mom doesn't knock) and saw my fiance nude from the waist down, I got "a talking to" over it, mind you I'm 21 and my fiance at the time was 27, we haven't done anything besides a few stamp licks and Hershey's kisses by that time, the only reason she was in my room changing was because we only had three bedrooms and my room was big enough for two beds.

I had a similar experience where I saw trailers for this movie called “What Men Want”. It looked like a fun comedy & I wanted to take my mom & younger brothers to see it. Idk how the rating passed me but it was Rated R. My brothers were in middle school so imagine the shock on my face when few minutes in the movie, a naughty bed scene was on. Luckily my mom already gave all of us “the talk” well in advance but I felt extremely awkward not knowing this movie would go down this detour. Funny movie but that was quite the shock lol

I can't1 This makes me recall the days where my grandma and I would watch Brazillian telenovelas (like your parents, my late Grandmother was a devout, God-fearing Catholic). So...ah...you know how in Brazillian soap operas (and in some Argentinian ones) there are sometimes, some steamy scenes? yea....my grandmother was always a bit petrified and gave me the look. I didn't choose the soap operas! Most of the time, because we had limited cable we couldn't choose!
