We were watching at home, so when those scenes came up they told me not to look I covered my face with the blanket I had, but the glass door to my right was the perfect mirror, so I watched anyway without them knowing lol.

I had a similar experience where I saw trailers for this movie called “What Men Want”. It looked like a fun comedy & I wanted to take my mom & younger brothers to see it. Idk how the rating passed me but it was Rated R. My brothers were in middle school so imagine the shock on my face when few minutes in the movie, a naughty bed scene was on. Luckily my mom already gave all of us “the talk” well in advance but I felt extremely awkward not knowing this movie would go down this detour. Funny movie but that was quite the shock lol

The Inside Out call reference... I can't1 This makes me recall the days where my grandma and I would watch Brazillian telenovelas (like your parents, my late Grandmother was a devout, God-fearing Catholic). So...ah...you know how in Brazillian soap operas (and in some Argentinian ones) there are sometimes, some steamy scenes? yea....my grandmother was always a bit petrified and gave me the look. I didn't choose the soap operas! Most of the time, because we had limited cable we couldn't choose!

I made a similar mistake... There used to be a store called FYE in Silverdale Washington, where I'd go to buy my anime DVDs, I can honestly say that they had a fairly good collection for sell, so I wasn't very disappointed often when shopping there... One day, I walked in, & was just trying to find some (dubbed...) anime that I'd never heard of, you know, looking for something different from what I had already, I didn't go into the adult section (not that there's anything wrong with people who frequently go to that section... you do you...), so I assumed that any anime I bought that wasn't in that section, was completely fine to watch with my mom... I came across a DVD that said "Weather Girl" on it, so, I just assumed it would be a comedy anime about a meteorologist... Then, I saw a two pack of DVDs with the words "The Roommate" on it, again in my naively UNCULTURED mind, this was clearly just going to be a comedy anime... I bought the DVDS, & we went home... My black, CHRISTIAN MOM was subjected to things that she shouldn't know her son has watched... The awkwardness of her basically FORCING ME to sit there & keep watching with her, & preventing me from stopping the DVDs, & then, basically quizzing me on what we just watched... I mean, it's not like I was a kid at the time, but still, pretty awkward situation that I put myself in... What's weirder was the fact that the cashier that rung me up when I bought the DVDs didn't card me, or give me any indication as to what would be on those DVDs, though I guess as long as they made the sell, they didn't actually care who bought what... (or maybe they just assumed I was older than I looked...)...😂
