If you want to see something complicated, take a look at an pipe organ console, those things have 7 manual keyboards + another pedal (foot operated) full keyboard, and you could select what instrument each of those keyboards would immitate (they could do from flute, to strings and even percusion!) much like one of those digital synthesizers with presets, but which predates that for centuries and needed a 3 story building to house it. The accordion and other concertina-like instruments are a portable form of the old wind pipe organs, which have existed for millennia and usually are more complicated than this, but that explains why so many buttons, they tried to use a organ-type keyboard alongside the older-style buttons. Some of these portable "aerophone" instruments predates things like the piano.

Always when I listen to that I feel intense emotions really. It's because at the time of my first breakup I had a roommate who played this piece on the Akkordeon like every day with so much emotion, exactly like this man here in the video, that I now always feel all these emotions I had at that time when I listen to it again. Thankfulness for all my friends, my life, sadness and I always have to think about colored trees and fresh and cool air (it was autumn at that time). Music has emotion memory

That should be possible. For some other pieces by Tiersen You would miss the diminished cords, for those a 72, 96 or 120 bass accordion would be a better choice.
