For me, it’s the Barber Tone Press! The Accountant is awesome too though, I’ve owned it as well. Fairfield makes some amazing pedals.

@@WorkingClassMusic ah do it!! I’d be interested to hear your thoughts! It was my first compressor, then I went to the Accountant, then to an Earthquaker Warden, then back to the Tone Press. All great compressors!

Ok guys...mine just arrived today. I will confirm that this review kinda sold me on it a few months ago. They aren't that easy to find out here and are often sold out anyway...but after some years of thinking 🤣🤣🤣about a compressor, you guys finally got me to pull the trigger. I've just connected it to my board, not 100% sure where it will sit, but now it's sitting 3rd in line just before my Browne amp T4 fuzz. I was expecting small, but next to the T4 it looks tiny. How cool. 👍😎 Not long back from work... And time to play now. Cheers guys. 🎶🎶🎶

This is certainly the best mini compressor out there (look at how cute and vibey it is!). Only compressor I like the sound of more than this is the EQD Warden, which I've seen on so many math-rock boards (Yvett Young from Covet, both guitarists from CHON) and even Matt Pike's board (Sleep, High on Fire) as specifically always-on and turned sideways between the top and bottom pedalboard rows.

great channel, subbed! love me some Fairfield, considering this one for a funk band i just linked up with

Ok, dammit. Saying you sold a pedal of 3 years for it convinced me. My cleanish tone is everything to me and I’ve been curious of these forever. I hear they’re noisy but charming. I like to think of myself similarly.

Awesome to be finding y’all! Thanks for making these! Good to be meeting you. Will you please share your guitar makes and your complete line? Amps, other pedals, mics, interface, etc? Maybe in the description for each video? Would be helpful for me!

I used to turn my nose up at mini pedals, how wrong was i?!. I am looking at upgrading my old compressor and have been blown away by the clarity this thing creates. Great vid guys, keep up the good work.

After trying out several different compressors, I now have and love the FFC Acct. This one appealed to me precisely because of its character-which all FFC have in abundance-e.g. it is not transparent, which many compressors boast as an attribute. Thanks for this excellent demonstration, which aligns perfectly with my experience with it.

This is a great review of an underappreciated effect in general, and what appears to be a fine pedal in particular. I really really REALLY love my four-knob Keeley on my bass board, but would definitely consider adding this one to my guitar rig (so I can stop borrowing the Keeley for when I want to use it on my guitar).

I just ordered a shirt. You guys deserve more subscribers. Which is not to imply my wearing a shirt will bring you more subscribers. I may have a negative draw, tbh. But to anyone who asks, I will rep your show to the max. Which may also have a negative effect. I can be socially awkward.

Jason's shirt FTW. Pretty sure that's what my parents thought I was doing in my teens when I'd listen to music and try to figure out the songs on my guitar. I'm sure obtaining a single distortion pedal only confirmed their suspicions.

I've always heard that sub octave pedals like EQD Bit Commander, MXR Sub Machine, or Boss OC-2 type effects track better if you place a compressor pedal before them. Can y'all do like a compressed/uncompressed sub octave pedal video that attempts to demonstrate this?
