When you stretch it after your rows of increase , it should stretch to your hips measurements

Hi I need help. So I've been doing this @11:00 step of placing the half double crochet in the space below the chain 2. And my skirt is becoming very sharp at that point. I use hdc because it’s makes the skirt look really neat, I used a size 3 yarn so it’s not so warm. For a 7 year old you will not need to make any increases and decreases. That’s the only difference on the pattern
