I know I read where it said do not use an alcohol wipe only soap and water before the test, but what about afterwards - can you wipe your finger with an alcohol wipe?

I see no issue with using an alcohol wipe after testing.

Can the results still be accurate even if the alcohol is already dried and then test? No wiping of cloth prior, just let the alcohol dry then prick.

It is preset and you are not able to change the units. There are free calculators online that will convert the readings for you.

Before the very first use of the meter, don't you need to do something with some control solution? I recall using control solution years ago, but don't recall how to use it.

You use it with the test strips on place of a drop of blood. You compare the number on the side of the test strips to see if the specks and meter are in specs. Please note, its a good idea to test each new pack of strips when you open them to make sure they are also OK.

Thanks for the demo. Been using Contour for YEARS but my new insurance only covers Accu-check, so I'm forced to switch. This tester's design looks so outdated. I'll use the Accu-check at home, but keep my Contour One for when I'm out in public 😒
