I enjoyed the video. I think the groups were excellent! Keep in mind, the RDB is not a hunting or sniper rifle. On the other hand, you use what you have to do what you have to do. And given how well you did with the various ammo, you could reach out much further if you needed to, and most likely hit where you're shooting. One point that I find indicative of the rifle's dependability and very satisfying, is that you didn't have any gas pressure problems or need to adjust. Even though the variation in weight is only seven grains in this case, the rifle cycled it without problems. With the RDB, while you can tweak it if you want to, it is normally not necessary. I'm sure sometimes you might be required to when experimenting with a wide range of bullet weights. But I've never seen anybody having to, unless they had already changed the factory setting. I've never touched mine. It just shoots what I load it with. This is the first Ridge Life video I've seen. I'll be looking out for more. Thanks.

Thanks for the kind words. I appreciate the insight. I definitely agree with you about not having to adjust the gas settings at least under normal bullet weights. Maybe if a suppressor was installed then it might be needed but at least it’s there if the situation calls for it. I am currently working on two more videos. One is different 9mm ammo with slow motion capture on cantaloupe. From my rock island 1911. The other will be an add on for the rdb. With several other ideas in my head swirling around.

Thanks for shooting/testing the RDB. Wonder about a 62gr, 69gr and 75-77gr bullet would do? If it’s an 1/7 twist, those tighter twist barrels normally prefer heavier grain bullets. It is also good that the gun can eat the 55gr bullets. True test is when the gun heats up, try 5 or 10 round groups if you have a chance!

I understand. Ammo around here in georgia has started to come back around but the prices haven’t dropped yet. 223/556 ammo is everywhere these days but paying a dollar a round or more is still high. Hope to see .50$ a round again one day. Good luck and let me know if you find a good hand load that you like

I wish somebody on YT would reload for the RDB. I still haven't gotten around to buying a RDB, however, I have bottom dollar PSA 1/8 twist 16" Blem rifle which is a $400 rifle. All i've done to it is add an ALG combat trigger and spring which is no match trigger. I consistently shot 1.5" - 2" groups with winchester white box ammo when i first brought it to the range. Coming from a bolt-gun background i wasn't too excited about those results (although everybody else said that was extremely good given the cheap rifle and cheap ammo) My rifle is still in the exact same configuration. I now load 69gr Sierra MatchKing with Ramshot Hunter at 23gr all for my PSA AR. I get a highly consistent .75 moa avg grouping with this rig. Honestly I really need to make a YT video about it. This Christmas I am snagging a RDB for myself. I will do some extensive load testing with it to see how small i can get the groups. As far as I know the only accurizing aftermarket upgrade available for a RDB is the Lucky Irishman Stock unfortunately. But hey I havent added a single accurizing upgrade to my PSA and look what I accomplished!

Hey man If you want those groups to tighten up a bit try the Lucky Irishman Handguard!

Hey, do you think it might have something to do with your optic, I noticed when shooting my AR-10 at 100 the reticle dot covered the target center making it hard to hold a consistent group

Good lord, is this more accurate than a Tavor x95?
@abadran8174
@abadran8174 4 ай бұрын
Tavor is extremely inaccurate because of the long stroke piston. It's AK style gas system whil takes the accuracy away from any barrel. Tavor is just well marketed, and will not meet expectations.
@Muddyfox47
@Muddyfox47 4 ай бұрын
@@abadran8174 the bullet leaves the barrel before the gas system has time to move, just wondering how that system affects the bullet?

@@Muddyfox47 this is true in delayed blowback rifles. I don't know about the AK has style, and it was my service rifle😅. Judging by where the port is I would say it's delayed. I guess I just bought the explanation I read from people who were trying to explain the lack of accuracy of x95 and most agree. I have the rdb and it's as accurate as what show here. 8 guess rdb is more accurate, it's the why that I parroted without verifying.
