Character 100%! Especially if you’re looking for your own kind of Timbre for your music. Take a look at Super Mario world’s soundtrack. The tone in its samples are so charming and unique that it created a whole subgenre of VGM. For me, my favorite library is Tokyo Scoring Strings for this very reason. It has such a striking and powerful character to it, especially its legato.
