Rare footage of German wonder waffle at 13:13. Top Sekret project vk 70.07 Rocket Jager. It was a lightened Jagtiger with rocket boosters used to surprise the allies. Only one prototype was completed on April 18,1945. It was combat tested at the battle for Berlin where it scored 3 kills before being taken out by its own immense power. Suggestion: Military doctrine of the last century has stated that the minimum ratio for an attacking force to have a decent chance of success on a defensive position is 3:1. (in modern urban and tunnel warfare it's more around the range of 10:1 or even 15:1 in some cases) Maybe try the 3:1 ratio for another famous defensive battle.

Realistically it should be Panzer IVs, Stugs a few Panthers vs T-34-85s Germans never had a relevant amount of Kingtigers or Jagdpanthers

I mentioned that Germany didn't have the Tanks it had in that amount shown plus Is-2s actually wrecked the German tank division and Jagdtigers never participated in the defence of Berlin because they all broke down as they were used as Artillery against the Soviet infantry invasion

I am confused as by war records vast majority of attacking tanks were Is-2 and isu-152, there were very few T-34 and about 95% of tank loses were to panzerfaust not german armour.

Realistically there was no 1 Is-2 and there were 8 Ferdinand TD defending Berlin which 7 of them were destroyed and they didn't have Jagdtigers because Germany used them as artillery pieces and they all broke down plus the Maus never saw combat so is this battle even accurate to how many Soviet Tanks invaded Berlin? The fact that armor doesn’t work the way it’s supposed to in war thunder kinda makes this even worse. And I saw quite a few backwards IS-2s. Along with half the tanks on the Russian side being IS-2 (1944), and that being a tank with broken armor due to volumetric. This wasn’t really ever going to be a winning battle, especially if half the German players are stupid and bring Stugs. If all of the other side is going to have IS-2s then might as well just rename the video “IS-2 vs Tiger 2s.

I agree with there being too many heavy tanks and german late war TDs overall, however what you call “broken volumetric amor” we soviet mains call “stalinium and superior design” because the Soviet Union found out that if you make a tank with a smaller front face you get better volumetric characteristics and shave off weight. Also with a reload that takes 27 seconds the larger calibre doesn’t make the 122mm better compared to the long 88 (unless you went through the pain staking process of grinding out an aced crew on it of course)

I would say that volumetric is somewhat real, as it helps simulating amour with diffrent varying thicknesses. However it is also somewhat broken, as it only accounts for the thickness of plates, and not their resistance to bending or breaking. As an example: if you hit just below, or above the 5 mm structural plate that holds the panthers side skirts. One would then think that in real life that structural plate would be bent, broken or ripped off, instead of eating all of the projectiles kinetic energy. @@5co756
