i believe once he is positioned to shoot the shot clock doesn't matter. if he was still standing upright it would be a foul.

As FSR Motorsports said, as long as you're "addressing" the ball, you're okay. Just don't look around or get up off the shot, then it's a foul. And in some tournaments it is a foul either way making it more confusing. Just learned this myself.
