Scott and Billy, now THAT is a pair of commentators, I wanna tell ya. GOOD job getting those two to commentate this match. A wealth of information here for any one pocket player, MHO. On the sillier side: well I finally found a pro that uses the extension I do. And I really like the thing. Put on properly it is rock solid and will never wobble or slip. It's basically just a tapered shop vac looking tube. The only other kind I would use are the threaded extensions, those are probably the best. The others I've seen that are slip ons that try to grab the last three inches of the but are utter crap. There may be good ones made, but I've never seen one. Some people may not like the feel of this extension (it is large diameter to grip) but I do. And here's something you almost NEVER see on YT comment sections. Who am I, one pocket wise? Absolutely nobody, in a big way, just my two cents as an avid watcher of this game (I play most other standard local hall type pool games. Totally not sure I have not the patience for this one, though when played at this level, especially with these world class ultra knowledgeable commentators, it is fascinating to me, truly the cliche 'chess of pool'). I've watched the likes of Justin Hall just SMASH local very good one pocket players, the difference is huge...just WOW to watch, and he looks like he's just idling. Watching a lot of these matches, I super rarely see Alex play like this, it's like his mind and his talent were somewhere else. They are both usually 'room filling'. I hope it's nothing serious, whatever the distraction, he is one of those players with a pinnacle class act (a la Efren) and super entertaining. He looked miserable here, attitude wise, maybe sick? I hate seeing that. Happens to everyone at times. His mechanics were terrible, for him. Life always has its downs, and they suck. Would be best if it was just a one off, this specific tournament thing. Even here, he showed some serious it's not over til it's over Pagulayan. LOL, 1:28:34, Cheddar Classics, now you're making me hungry. Anything with that name can't be all bad. :-) Billy always amazes me with commentary like this, you talk about knowledge of the game, 1:29:07. I can tell you one thing, even if I WERE a Scott Frost, I would have Billy coaching me at least occasionally. Pagulayan was obviously seriously up on the knowledge of this particular comment's wisdom. Not remotely a shocker. More surprising that Scott wasn't, actually. He sure is now. Danny playing at the level he did in this tournament, with a lot more than one bad decision, makes me think he could absolutely dominate everywhere when he gets that tamped down. According to Scott, a friend, he is seriously working and improving that aspect. Skill off the charts. Looking forward to THAT. Those are really the guys to watch, the Reyes, Pagulayan, SVB, Frost, Filler, Shaw, Ko, Orcullo, etc. crowd. And past players like Strickland (his histrionics and drama were much tamer in the past, often non existent), though he is still genuinely funny on rare instances, with the Rodney Dangerfield type shtick, though more in the 'everyone's against me' arena, especially when he' seems to be mostly just funnin', like in one hilarious post match interview I saw. Other times it's just inane and irritating. Other favorites from the past are Archer, Sigel (when you don't have to listen to him), Varner (another with excellent attitude), and others.

Another great match and hopefully Mr. Frost will be back with his knowledge of the game and of course Billy to commentate more one pocket in the near future. Thanks Accu-stats and Pat it’s always great to watch.

This is what excellent commentary looks like, totally the opposite with Danny, who is just the backup guy with very little to contribute.

Scott Frost is a great 1 pocket player, but he is a little too full of himself, he acts like everyone playing learned everything they do from him. And if they dont do a shot the way he would do it, they are doing it wrong. Billy and Danny are better together.
