It took Johnny Archer seven years to get back to the finals of the US Open, after the drubbing he took from Tommy Kennedy in the 1992 finals. He got back to the finals here, in 1999, but had to face his road partner Jeremy Jones to determine the event winner.
IN 1999, Johnny “The Scorpion” Archer was already a two time World 9-Ball Champion, a multiple time representative for Team USA at the Mosconi Cup and a multiple time Player of the Year.
“Double J” Jeremy Jones was a US Open One Pocket Champion and would represent Team USA for the first time later in the year.
