“The Iceman” Mika Immonen was fresh off his World Cup of Pool win earlier in 2012 and being named the Player of the Decade back in 2010.
Francisco “Django” Bustamante had won the Derby City Classic 10-Ball Challenge earlier in 2012 and was the 2010 World 9-Ball Champion.
This was winners side action, race to eleven, winner breaks.
Jim Wych and Geoff Conway were in the booth.

Bustamante's nickname originated around 1995 when he moved to Kiel, Germany. The local players called him so in reference to his hard break that sounded like gunshots. Django is a fictional anti-hero western star who rather talks with his guns than his mouth.

Oh it was because of his break I didn't know that part. Thanks

I like how with Accu Stats even with 1 on the spot the players would do the future closed bridge cut break instead of the traditional corner break that came with 1 on the spot. They really should've just done 9 on the spot from the beginning 😅

He(Bustamante) got his nickname from a Western fiction folk hero who smoked cigs. Bustamante around the same time smoked like him which reminded people of the famous movie character. But Django wasn't the name of a movie star. It was a character name. I forgot who the actual actor did play him though

A dry break means no balls were made on the break(not counting the cueball obviously). So how is it a dry break when he(Mika) made the 7 ball? It wasn't dry even if he scratched. It was a scratch break that wasn't dry

In last world 10Ball Championship, he was doing commentating then. And he gave some updates to his treatment. And he said its doing good.

1:34:45 I couldn't agree with Jim more. Some pool players huff and puff so much. They just love to show out for those watching. Mika has always been one of the worst. Always needs to put on a performance and ends up being distracted by his surroundings. Like Tom Cruise was warned in The Last Samurai: "Too many mind." Notice how the Pinoy players just play. Whatever the situation is, they just look at the table and get down and shoot...

Yeah right! Have you ever watched Efren or Jose Parica play! They’re always making faces and scratching their heads when facing tough shots. I think you just hate Mika.

@@justachristian4072 you have no clue what you’re talking about. Yeah they do make faces and scratch their heads. That’s what we pool players naturally do. It’s a tough game to play. But what they do is qualitatively different than what Mika does. And the Filipino players play in the most chaotic surroundings. They’re used to distractions. So no, you’re just wrong.

Amazing shooting. If this wasn't from 2012, I'd say never have that annoying Aussie commentator on again...
