the best part about rock is that no studio version is playing in the background.... pure live performance

Joel O'Keefe the singer in Airbourne would be a good replacement, instead of scumbag Axl Rose, Rose does not even belong on the same stage as The Legends..AC/DC..

YES!! couldnt of said it better myself. Airbourne are an amazing band many of my friends who are unfamiliar with them have mistaken them for the mighty AC/DC and who can blame them? Airbourne do have that heavy rock bluesy ACDC tone about them, joel would of made a perfect replacement for brian not that anyone could step into brians shoes but he'd do a better job than Axl thats for sure. Angus will play that SG till he drops he may live in Australia but he will always have that British grit.......

This was the most epic moment of my life. At that moment I had 15 yeards old, and my father and I went to see them. It was the best show of my life, there is no greater way to say goodbye than "For those about to rock". I remember how I cried when this song began, but it didn't matter because I wasn't the only one, they were tears of joy. I've seen dozens of international bands by now, but nothing can't beat this moment, maybe I've seen best musicians and most talented people, but if rock was a religion this song would be it's AMEN For those about to rock, I salute you!

Cuando estaban tocando Highway to hell y vi que empezaban a colocar los cañones se me saltaron las lágrimas mientras le gritaba a mi hermano: "¡Son esos, los vamos a sentir! ¡¡¡Los putos y jodidos cañones de For those about to rock!! For this particular concert and the individual videos with the songs, nothing on the internet comes within a million miles close to the energy and persona of this crowd. There is nothing like them interacting with AC DC. For years now I have always returned to these videos and revisited the experience, and imagined what it must have been like to be there. I imagine to this day each time I watch the videos of this concert and that crowd, what it would be like to connect with them in the same capacity that AC DC did. It's inspirational and emotional each time I watch them, there are no words to convey the feeling. Other than I hope that the feeling never goes away, nor do AC DC or the spirit in the people of Argentina.

Honestly for me it’s the 4:05 mark. That’s the lead in. That’s the calm before the storm. It’s that point where you can really fathom the build up. The silence. The single “FIRE”. Cannon report. Then the long drawn out “Weeeeee” into the drum build up, followed by Angus loosing his absolute shit. Over 15 seconds they’ve gained about 15bmp and are now into an absolute free for all of nothing but Brian repeating the hook. Angus loosing his shit. Chris crushing the drums and the crowd just trying to stay along for the ride. The greatest 60 seconds in recorded history.

I went to see them. Front row seats in Atlanta. I always remembered the picture of the old lady watching the queen or somebody of royalty pass by and everybody else had their phones out. I had a strict limit of 5 pictures from during the concert. I paid to go see the concert. Not record it. There will be plenty of pictures and video I can find. I didn’t need my own. Best. Time. Ever. I remember every detail. It isn’t a concert. It isn’t a show. It’s an experience. Leave your damn phone alone

Great crowd but its different than the old days (of course, and love both). I saw them May14, 1988 at the age of 14, downtown Detroit's Cobo Hall (a smaller venue) on the main floor, general admission so we camped out from 12 noon to get front row, and we did.You're right, my ears rang for 3 days, it changed my life (went on to see 60+ concerts). I can see the electronic influence with the bouncing... I bounced in clubs so I like all upbeat music up to and including today's Martin Garrix and the whole Ultra or Tomorrowland festivals. But concerts ROCK like that EVERY TIME in Detroit, just like the name says. I'm Canadian, but only like 2km from the border so we go across all the time.

jimboondawg Got my ticket for AC/DC in Belgium, tried for different cities such as Paris, Koln, Munchen, London, couldn't get any tickets. They announced this week that they were doing a concert in my country, i was so happy. I'm 17 years old now, gonna see them for the first time now, and probably the last time. Been a fan since i was like 8 years. Already did a few festivals ( we got alot of festivals in Belgium, ridiculously much ), gonna do about 6-7 festivals this year, but i still think that this is gonna be the best of this year for me, maybe for my life. +minimutz1123 - it seems like modern times is not able to produce groups/musicians of this caliber. Sure, there are good musicians today - but nothing like this. Who write songs like Stairway to Heaven or Hotel California or El Condor Pasa today? No one. Something has gone wrong. Terrible wrong. We have more musicians than ever. And many are very good at playing. But no artists and no song makers. If we want to look at something spectacular it has to be Rolling Stones or Alice Cooper or some other old men. And when Alice Cooper sings Born this Way, it is 100 times better than when Gaga does it. And it is not only nostalgia. We live in the era of Good Enough. Everything is Good Enough. No exceptional things allowed. Music industry is optimizing income and not producing geniuses. Maybe the main difference is that this old stuff is not a result of any industry.

Year 2021: For Those About to Rock (We Salute You)
@colatime0076
@colatime0076 Ай бұрын
I really listen to all kinds of hard rock, metal and rock, but I also know the newer bands. But I think this is the best closing song of a band of all time. The slow but powerful start. The message and the reference to the gladiator fights for the people in the roman empire (For those about to die) But then the song shifts up another three gears and ends in an epic riff and cannon ensemble. Goosebumps and tears every time. Especially if you've seen it live a few times.
