In my opinion, for me, DC is the best rock band there ever was. I remember back in 92 (i was eight, and already a diehard fan) when Live at Donington was released on VHS and LaserDisc, my mom was friends with the guy who ran our local video/record store. He let me and my mom in the store after hours so i could watch the concert a few days before it officially was out. It remains as my single best childhood memory (also my very own copy under the Xmas tree that year :) ). It's rare, for many at least, to listen to the same records a quintillion times over, and never getting tired of a single song of theirs. Well that's AC/DC for me :)

This whole show is phenomenal…. The Razors edge tour was peak AC/DC. They were on top of the game every show they played. Of all the bands I’ve seen in my time, none compare live to the force of AC/DC, Judas Priest and Van Halen. All were completely mind blowing on their performances, and left me stunned after each show. I wish I could go back and see them all live again… especially before the whole phone age since now whenever I go to any concert someone’s got their phone in my face recording the whole show. Thank God for the creation of KZbin…. So at least I can get the partial experience of being there live. Long live the classic bands

I saw AC/DC for the first time in 1988 at New Jersey's Brendan Byrne arena. I was a recent immigrant from India, scared shitless of metalheads and skinheads, apprehensive about going to see a band I loved live. When we drove into the parking lot, I was petrified; it was filled with long-haired metalheads. But they were all kids like me, drinking and getting high in that giant parking lot and super friendly to boot. We got lit, and went in. LA Guns opened, and they were good; I was surprised by how loud the music was turned up, and kept thinking, 'man, if the opening act is this loud, how loud is the main act going to be?' I found out fast. AC/DC opened with Heatseeker and I almost lost my mind - they were absolutely fucking tight, the tightest and loudest I would ever see a band live. The crowd was standing and remained standing and moshing and dancing for two hours. I almost fell down the stairs several times thanks to my excitement. AC/DC played non-stop, no breaks, and it seemed like Angus never stopped playing notes on the guitar. 33 years on, I can't forget the opening as the missile came out on stage and Angus stepped out. Thank you AC/DC - I play you all the time for my 8-year old daughter, and she loves it. She's learning guitar now and one day, I hope she learns chords for AC/DC tracks.

The double-disc special edition of this concert was my first introduction to AC/DC back in the mid-90s. For the longest time, I couldn't figure out why their albums seemed so pedestrian at times compared to this one. My usual frame of mind was "are they cheating the folks that buy the albums?" I went back and looked at the entire set-list years later. The faster tempo was necessary; the entire set was damn near two hours long, and a lot of the folks in the crowd had already been there for an entire day, many of them just to see this band. Angus, Cliff, Malcolm, and Chris likely agreed that they needed to speed up every song to give a helluva show for the crowd while not destroying themselves physically and mentally.

Mam and Dad are out there somewhere in the crowd, and they used to talk about this gig as the magic it was. One of those rare gig which instantly becomes legendary, like oasis at Knebworth, the beatles at the cavern club, thin lizzy at croke park... Just magic
