I didn't know I remembered the MD-80s sound well enough until I installed the FTSim+ soundpack. I immediately recognized them first time back in the plane.

APU definitely does not have to be on the bus for the duct pressure to come on. You need APU air, air supply off, and crossfeed valves open. Unless there's a bug in the Leonardo, that's the way it works.

Good news, I asked on the Maddog forums if there are any plans for MSFS2024 for the Maddog, as the current one is getting a bit dated in modelling, texturing and sound, and if they were going to bring it into the next generation for the new sim. The answer from the big boss himself stated they intend to do just that, but cant share details at the moment.

I strongly disagree the MD-80 is a fantastic aircraft and using it because it’s a prepared port is extremely unfair I’ve used it in prepared and it does exactly what you need to do I don’t know if you’ve watched any tutorials on the aircraft, but I would highly recommend the flight management. Computer is extremely confusing the way it wants you to do things compared to certain aircraft. And you have to put in your weights and your weight manually But that’s how you done in prepared that’s not the limitations of the simulator It’s how they chose to make the aircraft And that’s how they done it in prepared and Microsoft flight simulator Gave it some more time and tried learning it a bit more considering you make KZbin content on a lot of aircraft makes it a bit hard As for the sounds you’re not meant to actually properly hear them as the engines mounted in the back so of course the audio is going to be a lot more quieter than your 73 sevens or A3 20s because the engines are in the middle mounted on the wings the DC9 family had them on the back like 727 And I didn’t complain much about the engine quality from aircraft When you’re done the American Airlines flight with it or was that someone else? Anyway, I think you should give the aircraft a shot and a shake down. If you could find more videos to learn from it and then make a video. But that’s just my opinion and I may not have an unhealthy addiction to McDonnell Douglas aircraft. I cannot confirm allegations that I’ve accidentally put forward.
