What are the complexities a patient can face post ACDF?? (Specifically for a bulged C5 & C6)
@israel_connection6 ай бұрын
I have this exact same situation with the same 3 disks. I am wondering if the Non-Fusion Motion Preservation Lumbar Spine Surgery would work for this situation . Where is your practice at?

For a three-level disc issue, most surgeons would advise ACDF instead of a disc-replacement/ motion preservation. You may find the following video helpful: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fqPYinWteMqeeZI If you have questions about your surgical options, I suggest a deep/ detailed conversation with your surgeon about these matters. Each patient case is unique and recommendations about the correct diagnosis/ treatment-options can only be made with an in-person consultation with a surgeon. My father is 80 years old. Looking at his complaints of continuous tinkling in both hands (till fingers) and two legs, we gone for MRI. Looking at MRI report doctor has suggested to go for ACDF surgery. They also suggested first try with few medications for two weeks. My question : Is there any medication instead surgery. Given my father is 82 years, is it okay to go for surgery at this age? Or any medication/cure ?

Thank you for reaching out. I am unable to comment on your father's case specifically (since I am not familiar with the details). If you are not sure about the surgeon's recommendation of an ACDF surgery, you may want to get an opinion from another spine surgeon about this matter. Best of luck to you.

And what about the motion of neck after 4level fusion
@SpineSurgeonSpeaks Жыл бұрын
Usually motion after a four-level fusion is moderately restricted. From a functional standpoint, in general motion is preserved reasonably well for 1-3 level fusions.

Thank you for reaching out. Since each case is different, unfortunately I cannot give you advice about your specific condition. You may need to see a spine surgeon in your community to answer these questions. Wishing you the best of luck.

Hello Sir I had ACDF surgery in C6 Cervical, after surgery I am getting pain in my hand, now 10days over, can u suggest me why it is coming
@SpineSurgeonSpeaks8 ай бұрын
Hello: Since I do not have information about your particular case, unfortunately I am unable to comment specifically about your condition. However, at 10days after surgery you are still in the early stages of healing, so it is not unusual to have some residual symptoms during that time frame. ACDF surgery can take several months to fully heal. Hope this helps.
