The first game isn't brilliant though, it has some good concepts but only I1-2 and I1-4 are good while the fith case after an awsome start is a complete letdown after the first Shina half, what a way to start weak end in an anticlimactic way. Donno about the second one as I was waiting for this to play it.

Even if the fan team were to offer fan translated names for free, it'd be sending a message that it encourages fans to do whatever they want with Capcom's assets, which is clearly NOT what it wants (otherwise you wouldn't be buying this). Remember this is Capcom who issues DMCA takedowns left and right to fan projects, and now it can do so if it so chooses.

In fact Capcom has been issuing DMCA takedowns against many fan projects, translations or dubs all the same. Capcom is showing mercy by pretending the fanlation doesn't exist. Otherwise Capcom is well within its rights to sue the fan group for modding without permission (even though it'd be a dick move), not the other way around.

As a fan of the series since I played the first on DS... after all these years, it makes me so happy to see that the entire series has received a Western release! I hope the translation does this game all the justice it deserves. Absolute love letter to the past games mixed with fantastic new twists and turns, with every case and major character having a purpose. Everyone can see the incredible adventures of Miles Edgeworth, Kay and Gumshoe in all their glory, including confronting the shadows of Mile's past to become the prosecutor he has become today. Not sure how legal it is from a copyright perspective, but please include an option for the fan-translated names. I just like the fact that it's gonna release on Sept 6th - a....somewhat significant date in the series (+ it's also around my bday - which as a child who first stumbled onto the game, I couldn't stop thinking "why?? 😭" when I reached that point (......also as a non-American, I also had a similar reaction to a certain infamous incident, feel like I'm showing my age here but...whatever, ✨~nostalgia~✨ (right??)) - my memory was faulty, so I double checked, and it was not DL-6, but still, in many other ways, 'somewhat' significant) So anyway, I was very surprised and, as always, late to the party, But very pleasantly surprised.
