Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies Longplay [Expert Difficulty]

A no commentary full playthrough of Ace Combat 4 since I beat 5 the other day and just felt like replaying another one of the PS2 Ace Combat games. I would've played this on Ace difficulty if I knew there was one, assumed Expert was just how they localized the name, but no, you just need to beat Expert to unlock it. Not replaying this a third time just to record Ace difficulty, sorry.

You might be wondering why I'm uploading this. I wanted to make some actual content and try something different at the same time. On a bit of an Ace Combat binge currently, so why not. Might make an actual scripted video before I go back to school in September. Might be an Ace Attorney retrospective if I finish Apollo Justice, or maybe how much I like the framing of Ace Combat 0's story. Sticking to smaller stuff for now since I'm not only out of practice editing-wise but I'm also not sure if I'll have the time to tackle a big topic. I've got the ideas, it's more an issue of actually executing them. We'll see!

Trying to ease back into it. I wrote a bit about it but that's buried at the bottom of the description. Tl;dr of that is that I'm out of making content but I want to get back into it. This was something different I did just to stir things up and have some fun. I'm going to try and get a video out before I go back to school. So yeah, I'd say somewhat is fair.

I've seen the first hour of gameplay and the story of the kid and yellow 13 and the radio of the missions already have me depressed(tbh I was like that before watching this video, but i was just trying to deny it, in that sense i guess this video helped me), but I'm really enjoying it, I had never been interested in ace combat but i'll give the series a try when i finish this video.

4 doesn't have much to do with the overall plot, so give 5 a shot. 5 is important to the plots of 0 and 7. 4 is a one-off line in 7. I hope you enjoy the series!

Wait, this game has anime looking cutscenes? I guess I should have guessed from the developer (Namco) but the rest of the presentation looks as western as a hamburger, it's an interesting combo none the less
