Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown | Mobius 1 vs. Yellow Squadron | F-22A Raptor

This video was an interesting opportunity to reimagine “Siege of Farbanti” in Ace Combat 7. Taking the extra step in recreating the final battle between Mobius 1 and Yellow 13 certainly proved to be another time-consuming process, but still fruitful nonetheless. I don’t think any video that I’ve created in the last two years contains as many radio dialogues as this one does but it all goes toward emulating the 2001 experience. As for the actual fight, I’m not too proud of my own flying seeing as how I don’t really use the F-22A that often in multiplayer. More importantly, there were no maneuverability parts equipped during the fight which must be taken into account.
On another note, credit must be given to my good friend CipherUnknown who is responsible for creating the multiplayer map swap mod. While in the moment, I should also thank RookFox for providing me with the VR Hangar voice lines as that content is certainly beyond my reach. I could not have done any of this without the support of my fellow stuntmen as this process still proved to be fun despite some obvious challenges.

This was really awesome and brought me back so many memories of Ace Combat 4. I do wonder though, because of this and also seeing another video of Zero being recreated in AC7, I wonder if you could create custom VS matches here. Like Pixy vs Crimson 1 or something else along those lines. Just an idea. Anyways, keep up the amazing work!

Hats off to you and your squadron for this amazing work Phantom! And a big shout out to CipherUnknown for his hand in this! On a different note, what made me love this video is that you and your team recaptured the feel of AC4. For me, Ace Combat 4: Shattered Skys will always be my favorite out of the franchise. The gameplay, the side story, and the soundtrack moved and spoke to me in a way that the other games just never did. Am I saying that the others are bad? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! Their stories and soundtrack are also worth appreciation. But there's something about Shattered Skies...it's hard to explain. It has something to do with the fact that I played this game at a very young age. As a matter of fact, it was the first game to introduce me to the F-22 Raptor. I didn't even know about the Raptor's existence (in the game and IRL) until after I played. However, since the disc itself was made for PS2 and I only had a PS3, my progress would never save and I would never earn enough money to buy and experience the Raptor for myself, sadly enough. I lost contact with the Ace Combat franchise after we got rid of all PS2 games, but I'm glad I found you to repair that connection after all these years. So thank you.
