Such a fantastic game. With many callbacks to my childhood with this series. Become Mobius 1 in the VR campaign, defending Stonehenge to gain the upper hand and destroy 1 Arsenal Bird, a massive battle over Farbanti like AC04, the Belkans are at it again, Mihaly was Yellow 13’s flight instructor, Kei “Edge” Nagase’s surprise appearance at the end, right down to the phenomenal soundtrack by Kobayashi-san and his sound team. Between this game and Devil May Cry 5, Ace Combat 7 is probably my game of the year. Thank you so much Kono-san, Project Aces, and the rest of Bamco! So worth the 12 year wait!

It definitely sounds like Richard Waugh, then again it could also be D.C. Douglas but I doubt it. Funny, his voice is the only one I can recognise. I would've thought Yuri Lowenthal would be in the cast as well. He always has a knack for being in Ace Combat games, Toscha Mijasik, Sergei Illich and of course... Larry Foulke better known to us all as "Solo Wing Pixy". Also Kyle Herbert (the voice of Gohan) plays the role of Mihaly A. Shilage. Quite a transition, to go from being a benevolent and caring half breed Saiyan with a family, to a old arrogant ace fighter pilot that has a creepy theme song. I would love to see Shilage go up against Markov, that would make for a good Ace Combat Death Battle.

Always a fan of the Ace Combat series, but 7's story is just a bit underwhelming compared to the rest. The part about Mihaly, the drones and the Princess are not bad, but the whole penal unit part killed the story for me, and I could never really care about the mechanic girl with all her complains that I actually end up skipping all her cut scenes...And not enough depth with our wing man that I did not feel any connection to. When many of them eventually got shot down through out the story I just trying to remember which one was he? While I still clearly remember when Chopper went down into the Stadium and when Pixy turned on me and eventually the final duel.
