@@nickfury1279 Phoenix made appearances in Air Combat, AC2, and AC Assault Horizon Legacy, so basically just the first two games. Talisman didn't appear in AC7 or AC3 so I think they've disappeared. Same with Trigger, he didn't appear in AC3 which is the next game in the timeline. AC and AC2 were '95 to '97, AC6 was 2015-2016, and AC7 was 2019 in the timeline. I could be wrong though and I'm just misinformed but that's what I believe.

Disappointing that there's no subtitles for it like there is with most of the dialogue, though. Oh, and apparently you can hear someone simply say "It's the Ribbon Fighter." at around 5:58 as well. And for anyone reading this comment who doesn't know: The Continental War is the name of the war that the story of Ace Combat 4 revolves around. Omega 11 is suspicious of Mobius 1 at first, but is also the first to warm up to him after the first battle. Viper 2 doesn't start to trust Mobius 1 until the end of this mission. SkyEye prefers to stay mostly silent for the first two missions while Mobius 1 does his thing; it is only during this mission that he starts offering support during the battle with Ghost Squadron. You know, this VR campaign may only be three missions long (for now), but I really love how the allies' characters develop as they see Mobius 1 in action. In that sense, Mobius 1's real battle is to prove to the next generation of fighter pilots that he's still got it, given that it's been 14 years since the end of the Continental War. *Edit* Whoops! This campaign takes place in 2014. Make that 9 years since the end of the Continental War.

Having studied these aces I have come to a conclusion. We are informed in the "Aces at War" book that the great MIhaly was Yellow 13's tutor in a sense. We also learn that WHILE IN TRAINING, Yellow 13 was EQUAL to the battle hardened Mihaly. Therefore, by the end of his training, Yellow 13 would have surpassed his mentor in capability as a fighter pilot. Additionally, Yellow 13 was in the top Erusian ace squadron, earning more kills than all other aces and continuously improving until his great and final confrontation with the legend Mobius 1, in which he was defeated. It is my sound conclusion that Yellow 13 would have dominated Mihaly in a fight at that point. Having been defeated by Mobius 1, it stands in reason that our beloved Mobius 1 would EASILY defeat Mihaly even pre-health problems. The reasoning is solid, the facts and evidence clear and present. Mobius 1 is greater than Mihaly and Trigger. Personally, my fave enemy ace is Yellow 13. What are your thoughts?

Wade Meservy Hard to say considering the conditions. Mihaly flies a Heavily Modified SU-30SM that literally matches or even bests the YF-22 Raptor. On top of that he’s the pilot and even grabs hold of the X-02S Strike Wyvern which is a 6th Generation Plane. Mihaly is no joke.

Now I know why the music for the mission is based on AC04's Blockade, the missions seemingly resembles mission 4 from AC-04, except that the enemy transport planes here are C-130s instead of C-17s and has additional Ace target to defeat

This game has a way of making you feel like you;re really the character, and ur going through a live training, and the Job of Awacs is to record energetic readings from the fighters and how they are in tough situations, all while developing their own stories,. Its also as if the top secret thing about this is that Awacs knows these are all drills but the pilots don;t know that. The enemies at that point wouldnt be real enemies just participants of the drills from a satellite game room located somewhere in secret, whos job is to build the intensity of the real humans in the cockpits. Kind of like Enders Game. But a good story, not sad. Pretty cool. Ace Combat Forever

I don't know the VR storyline yet, so I'm operating under the assumption that this is a 'false' Mobius One, but... can you imagine being the new guy that gets The Ribbon Fighter? That sounds like a really interesting story to me.

No it is the real Mobius One. In thd first mission Omega11 doubted Mobius One's capabilities as a pilot and hoped he was the real deal. Viper just comments back to Omega 11 that Mobius One they're flying with is a real legend compared to other veteran pilots who just brag things during these missions. That's why the operater in mission 1 says "you'll find out. Everyone foes."

@@SolBadguy777 I interpreted that 'real deal' part as "this Mobius One is just as good as the previous Mobius One" rather than "this Mobius One is the exact same as the previous Mobius One", because it seems odd to me that they would not recognize him. We as players never see his face, but I assume that the NPCs in the game world would have enough interaction with the real guy to recognize him by his face. I mean, if the Southern Cross can get souvenirs printed with his emblem, then Mobius One would be an international icon. There'd be games made about him. And Movies. And games about those movies. Point is, it makes more sense to me that he would be a 'false' one, and it's honestly more fun than "and everyone forgot who he was". Headcanon: this current Mobius One is actually the previous Omega Eleven, which is why he is a veteran but not a 'real ace' like Mobius One.

@@LongherinQ Except people do recognize him SkyEye recognizes him and the ISAF which has now currently dissolved into the IUN say "glad you're back with us Mobius One" and even comments that his eyes show that he's still got it. He is an veteran pilot that came from the early 2000's and may not have been active until 2014 for this operation so it makes that newcomers are not familiar with him. Even if he is a legend, no one would create that much merchandise for a war hero.

​@@SolBadguy777 I would also like to point out that we have Red Baron pizza (decades after the guy's death, yeah) so war heroes are totally fair game for being merchanised. I mean, heck, Casablanca was filmed in 1942 and was set during the war that was currently taking place. There is nothing that can stop merchanisation and profit. ...And also, "newcomers not familiar with him" would also apply to the person doing the briefing within the IUN. By that logic, the person doing the briefing would be new and would only see the insignia rather than the actual pilot. (For the record, I have no problems with this Mobius One being the 'real' one, I'm just liking this debate, so thank you for that~)

@@LongherinQ Ofcourse there is merchandising for war heroes but none of them go very far. You mention Red Baron Pizza but it is more recognized as a pizza brand than it is about a brand about the figure. The IUN has ISAF staff that is why the specifically dissolved into it. You can debate all you like but there really isn't any empirical evidance you've provided that backs up your debate other than assumptions that don't connect to anything provided in game. Just look back at the regular dialouge and there's enough to tell it's Mobius One and his squadron being reformed.
