I'd love for that ISAF piano track to be included someway in a future AC involving Erusia/ISAF. Like a character stumbling across an old abandoned Hangar, it's door cracked open ever so slightly. Inside there's clearly an aircraft, concealed under tarps and sheets. It's pilot ladder to one side of the Cockpit. They investigate and take a look around, looking up at the imposing tail fin spotlighted by a shaft of light coming through the Hangar door. They pull down the Tarp but it's heavy, and forces them to stumble to the floor. Through the gloom, they can see a Shape, an Emblem, through the dusty cloud... ...and they can't quite believe what it says: "M o b i u s"

A great artist makes art to make art. To make something great. They don't care as much as you'd think where that art gets shown, a street corner, gallery or museum. All that matters is making something great for people to enjoy. But I admit, it's amusing to know something so 'pedestrian' got the attentions and talent of such great artists. I like to think it means more people got the chance to know it than otherwise.

A remake of Ace Combat Zero with the F-104 Starfighter and even toss in the A-4 Skyhawk. The latter is a 1950s-era US Light Bomber/Attacker. The last Active US A-4 Skyhawks weren't retired until 1998 and there about 6 of the planes left in just the US Marine Corps' inventory. A number I believed still soldiered on as Aggressors and Adversary Planes in training until the last were retired sometime after 2000. The US Military still has Skyhawks filling the role, but these are privately owned by training firms. Though the US Navy and Marines stopped using them, the Israeli Air Force continued to use them until full retirement in 2015. Argentina used them as well, to some notable effect in the Falklands War and had them in service off and on thereafter. They've converted the last of their A-4s into a new model, using parts from F-16 Fighting Falcons, creating the A-4AR Fightinghawk which is in current service. The Brazilians also used A-4s until quite recently. They only retired them due to age and fatigue of the aircraft and their frames. The Brazilian Navy has also a program in which the A-4 is being used as the basis for their next Carrier Aircraft. Though they are having a few hurdles tossed their way. They are intent to not lose their Carrier Capabilities and keeping a program for a Carrier Aircraft active is a sign of that. Just like how SpaceX put a window on their unmanned cargo pods until their Dragon series became, quite successfully, manned recently. A-4s and F-104s, some of which are still in service as well, could join the F-5A/B Freedom Fighter, the first design of the F-5 series Light Fighter and developed from the T-38 Talon Trainer, in a full remake of Ace Combat Zero. Additional Aircraft could also be brought in, such as the IAI Kfir (USAF service designation F-21), and the French Dassault Mirage F-1 Fighter. I believe the Kfir is completely out of service, but only so many were made and they were based on the French Mirage III, much to the anger of the French (but given that French leadership had abruptly left the Israelis high and dry, what else were they to do? Get massacred a second time in less than half a century?). The Mirage F-1 may bring to mind what everyone thinks about when the name Mirage is mentioned in Fighter Aircraft, but the F-1 was actually more conventional in design. So there are considerable differences between the two. At the same time, France had several other Aircraft at the time, including Carrier Aircraft like the Etendard and Super Etendard (it means Standard and references Battle Flags that were called Standards). There was also the SEPECAT Jaguar. The Mitsubishi F-1 and still other aircraft that could potentially be brought in. By redeveloping the gameplay with new Aircraft from that time period, Project Aces could refresh the game and make it even more popular. And if Ace Combat 5 was to get a remake as well, additional Aircraft could be brought in as well. Maybe even firming up a few differences, such as restructuring the Yuktobanian Air Force to look more Russian. Just not in a negative way, but you have to admit, it was a bit... much for the Yuktobanian Air Force to be operating OSEAN Fighters in a war WITH Osea. And if they can access other nations' designs, Project Aces could address some of that to try to keep the game as politically neutral as possible, such as the Yuktobanian and Osean Air Forces using more French Fighters, some Chinese (if that can be made possible), and even slipping in some original Project Aces designs that would make the games even more neutral while expanding their own creative flair. At the same time, Belka could have its own Fighter planes it was never allowed to have. Belka could still have an Air Force, but only up to a certain point and restrictive in what technologies were available and weapons too. Like Austria, which has a long history of SELF regulation. I understand they didn't buy modern missiles for their planes for years. So while Belka would have an Air Force post-Belkan War, it wouldn't be allowed some weapon types and Aircraft technologies. But the Grey Men get around this, by making the program look Osean. Which was hampered by Harling's election and heavy cuts to the Defense Spending. Because if the programs were cut, they would indirectly affect BELKAN development. Another sore point for the Grey Men, but also an explanation on why so many Osean officers and politicians went along with them. I can even see the scenes for when Harling returns. Harling enters Oured again with the support of not only Sea Goblin, but Osean Military National Guard and Reserves as well. A few Regular units also pledge their support and the Oured Police Department deploy to provide Harling, and later Nikanor, direct protection and securing Oured with a very minimal military appearance. This mix of defenders wouldn't amount to much, but once Harling is eventually revealed to be back in Oured, forces under the Osean traitors' leadership move to stop him. But many of the Osean troops don't know they're going up against Harling. Who, despite his pacifist orientation, is popular among the Osean soldiers. Yet what stops them, isn't the ad hoc forces of Police and Harling loyalists, but people who go out onto the streets demanding an end to the war and showing their support for Harling. The soldiers become mired and as they begin to work their way through the crowds, Harling and Nikanor appear on television together. Seeing the two leaders together and learning that Harling had been ousted in a silent coup and that Osean AND Yuktobania were under mutual threat from a third party, the soldiers would switch sides to support the two leaders. Some even begin to organize evacuation while the few who can, begin heading towards North Osea and Sudenator.

But I kept failing the very first mission (either by making the time expire or flying out the combat zone), I was four or five years old and nobody knew English well enough in my family. I didn't get that I had to shoot down the bombers. I remember I involved my father in that, but we just couldn't get through. Had to wait a few years to be able get through the first mission - and then I were able to finish the game. When Ace Combat 4 came for the PS2, it blew me away.

Concerning the portion for Zero from ACZero, I really want to like it, but I just can't. They replaced the heart and soul of the piece, the flamenco rhythm guitar with a damned piano. I'm a classically trained musician and love the piano, but holy cow, the piano just doesn't fit this piece. To rub salt in the wound, the guitar playing the melody seems to have gone blind and not read half the notes on the sheet music. Watching him play, it feels like he just can't get his fingers around the original part and so is improvising what he can. The violin (at the very least, the one standing stage-right, is rough and scratchy and doesn't even come close to the high, clear vocals that it is replacing. I love ACZero and I love live performances of game soundtracks, but I just can't get myself to like this rendition.

That might've just been how it was rearranged. You might've noticed but all of the songs were a bit different from the original versions. On top of that, that's literally the guitarist from the original recording of Zero(and most other spanish guitar appearances in the AC:Z soundtrack). The guitar solo did sound fairly different at points, but that could've been down to Kobayashi's rearrangement and not just Goto's playing.
