I have a question about Ace recording as a solo act. I realize in most cases the instruments and vocals are handled separately in the process. In KISS he e.g. didn't want to carry the gear. He confirmed Paul's version: Ace was the laziest guy he ever knew. Ace simply expects someone else to do the work, to organise the band etc...Paul and Gene definitely "carried" Ace. He admitted Gene helped him song-writing. Gene and Paul pushed him to sing. KISS made him great. I don't think someone else would have tolerated him as long as Paul and Gene.
