depends...my footwear usually goes through cycles since I have so much. i just got back from chicago trip where the chelseas and sneakers got plenty of wear, aaand it rained most of the time. they're going strong.

I’ve never seen this review Khoi. Just yesterday I ordered the sneakers in the brown color way. I like Ace Marks as well. I have the Beckett Simonon in White as well from a couple years back they were called Albas back then. I have AM double monkstraps in brandy and just ordered black. Ace Marks fit is nice. Their shoes fit me right and comfortable right from the get go. Great review I like those sleeker Chelseas too. I like how the side Panel on the Troys widen at the bottom of the U shape. I say no to Thursday’s Boot chunky boots never brought myself to buy them I tried and tried but just couldn’t. More power to those like you who can pull off the Chunky boot look.

Yeah, this was about 6 months ago. I made an update video reviewing these. I remember the Albas from Beckett. I have their Reid sneaker which is kinda similar. Glad to hear you've had good experience with AM. Also, I don't think Thursdays are all that chunky.

Really not a fan of their Chelseas. I think the elastic panel is way too big and ruins the aesthetic, although it does make it easier to put on. Personally I think the Common Projects and SLP Chelseas have the perfect amount of elastic

Though I don't have the greats royale, the difference is reflected in price. I think the silhouette of both are nice. I do have a pair of Royale knit and the outsoles are not up to the quality of margom.

What do you use to replace the sole part of your leather shoes when they get worn out after a couple of months of use?

I've never had to replace the soles of my leather sneakers before. i've worn sneakers for years without wearing them down like that. then again I don't drag

How’d the white rubber part hold up now? Did it turn yellowish? I’m so worried with the side rubber at the bottom getting dirty quickly. How’d you clean and maintain to prevent it from being ruined?

hey, the rubber is still good. it's not yellow either. just a simple wash cloth with some soap does the job.

Jason Ong If you ever need to take the yellowing away, purchase some 40 volume hair cream. Paint it on to the rubber, cover it with Saran Wrap and place in direct sunlight or under a UV lamp. The cream contains hydrogen peroxide and will easily restore most plastics and rubber to their original color.

Jason Ong Dependng upon severity it could be 8 sessions of up to 4-5 hours of direct sunlight, and that’s if they’re absolutely terrible. There are also other specialty products (Sole Bright, Sea Glow) that will have the same effect. If the yellowing isn’t bad, you could probably expect to see them back to new in as little as one session. For reference, search along the lines of “shoe unyellowing” on KZbin and you’ll see most people using the same process. You can also see people using the same process on old Nintendo and PlayStation consoles. It’s pretty neat stuff. I hope that helps!

The insoles are not removable you can clearly see they were glued down when you showed the insole. Come on man, and also the fact it states “original manufacturing” inside the shoe implying they outsourced the materials. As for the creating, they do in fact crease quite a bit.

Gentleman Within i have the shoe so I’m well aware of it. Yes you did take the insole out but it was glued in prior. You showed a snippet of it being taken out (in fact, you can see the glue on the bottom when you show the insole)I’m just cutting it straight. Let’s be honest about the shoe.

why would I lie about it? it took no effort for me to remove the insole. if it were truly glued I wouldn't be able to remove it, period without the insole being torn apart. yes there is a tiny bit of adhesive, that doesn't mean the insoles can't be removed.
