I can so relate to you! Thank you so much for sharing your journey. I have a 6th grade boy who struggles with math. For the longest I thought he might have dyscalculia but I'm not sure. I do know he gets his operations mixed up all the time and is easily overwhelmed if I give him more than 3 pages. Today he only did one because it was all long division. For a while there, it seemed everyday he was bringing his work to me complaining about how he hates math. It just broke my heart. I'm going to pray too and see what it is the Lord would have us do. Thanks for the videos! Looking forward to more!

Those days are so hard! I hate to see my stuggle. When we did BJU press my son loved math. Once we started ACE he still enjoyed it, until the full pages of problems came and boy did he not like that at all! Using CLE right now honestly has really helped. So I am not sure if we will just stay with that for awhile or not!

I don't know if this would work but have you tried maybe taking a plain white sheet or colored card stock and cutting a problem sized square out so you can lay it over the page and only the problem you are working on shows in the box and nothing else? So one problem at a time could be isolated in math?

I have not tried that but that is a wonderful idea! Thank you so much! I will have to try this!
