Ace Moveset + Detail - Dissidia Final Fantasy NT (DFFAC/DFFNT)

Hell yeah. Finally Ace has come out. Expect the video to come out later? Well I still got a few test but I can manage it pretty easy. so don't worry
Can I say that I love card user in video game? They always have the cool factor of being able to fight with luck and variety of card can easily make an interesting mechanic and moveset that set them apart from other fighter.
So when they announce that Ace is a next character, My hearts just grow ten time size that day. And how he is at launch? Not disappointed indeed.
He's really fit the type of range character that I prefer which is Marksman/Quick ranger who focus on speed rather than damage. Ace attack is mostly that with some combo potential. I can even go ham and Warp Strike (I just gonna call that by the way) and melee them.
His Ex skill is ****ing insane! Can be potentially the best and ...Don't know, maybe kindna underwhelming. Pray for your RNG goddess every time before you play him OK.
The only thing that I'm not really impressed is that his HP attack are just kindna OK to me.
I'll give him 9.5. I haven't finish his game but I love him already.

my god.... I'm so glad I wasn't the only one to REALLY hate the goddam romance (if you can even call it that) for Machina and Rem. it felt extremely forced upon you and the constant "Rem!" "Machina!" bullshit got way too old way too quick. like 2 seconds into their first cutscene, Rem said the guy's name like 3 times in 4 sentences. like ugh.... I'd much rather have no romance than a shitty forced one. fuuuuck Ace/Deuce coulda held a much more enjoyable experience than what Type-0 gave us. my only gripe with the game was the goddam Machina/Rem romance.

To give some help about why his trap move is called Chase, probably useful since you probably don't have it in Type-0 yet: In Type-0 when an enemy triggers this particular trap Ace warps over to the enemy and strikes, hence why it's called Chase because he chases for real Edit: Turns out Wild Card is what I was thinking of, though? Oops... Ignire me I guess I should watch the whole video before posting (Wild Card is a trap in Type 0, though)

Funnily enough, Squall and Ace will be two of my mains; VIII and Type-0 are my two favorite FF games. So it works out that using Force/Hi Force/Mega Force on him and Squall could make a substantial combo.XD I can't wait for this game!

since the usual thing Dissidia does is add the protagonist and main antagonist from a game.... I'm assuming either Cid Aulstyne or Nimbus (White Tiger L'Cie/Cid's ally) will be representing Type-0 in the game with Ace. but I doubt it'll be Cid because he was literally impossible to actually beat lol. maybe Nimbus because he has quite a few fights in the game. Type-0 is a war based game so not a lot of potential antagonists aside from Cid. I don't see Quatar being added, but maybe Concordia's L'Cie girl? she was a cool character tbh. if an antagonist doesn't get added would they put in another protagonist like Machina and Rem? I just hope Ace isn't the only one representing Type-0 cuz even Tactics has a couple characters doesn't it?

I love the whole card drawing thing. I play astrologian on FFXIV so his kit resonates with me. However I feel they need to tone down the RNG a bit. For example, I feel as if you draw a red card, the next card should automatically should be red, with the third card being random. Either that or decrease the cool down on drawing cards. Ten seconds seems a little too long. Cut that in half and ill be happy.

If im being real here, that would do more harm than good. Doing so would make lvl 1 burst/stop/force/heal never used. Plus the way it is done in game is the way it was done in Type-0, where if you played Ace you had to RNG-sus his cut cards till you get what you want, which pushes the gambler theme of his weapond, and iirc its even better in Dissidia because you can choose not to use the cards and keep cutting till you get what you need and you aren't limited by mana costs stopping you from continuing to cut indefinitely.

Also I assume the 10 seconds is a balance thing because, as I stated above, Dissidia doesn't have mana which was the thing that balanced Cut Cards in Type-0

Lazuardi Aldi I agree with you, they are similar in that they both use card-like weapons. Laphi’s are just called paper in the game I think, but they look a lot like cards and he can hit enemies with them like Ace! I never would’ve made that connection lol

Don't underestimate the power of Dissidia fanbase in Japan dude. First video I saw upload just 6 hours after He release (According to Japan, it's 6 am). Next day, Some people play him so much they unlock his LV 10 skill in 1 day. The Best one, one channel uploaded 15 Ace Gameplay videos in just 1 day.

Gotta admit one thing really bugs me with Ace. If your going to make him the fastest range player then why is his priority so damn high?! Make that part of the risk I mean he's throwing playing cards they shouldn't be stopping fireballs. Can't tell you how many times my strategy had to be lure ace into the line of sight of a teammate because we tied for priority and his shots not only charged faster than mine, but also of how many shots he's putting out. Least with Ultimecia she holds still in her attack long enough to counter. (Still call Ace my 2nd fave from type zero.... Yes 2nd I still love using a scythe waaaayyyyy too much.)
