In the Cannibal Corpse documentary Centuries of Torment, the rhythm guitarist said that not only did Jim enjoy death metal, he even asked if they would play Rancid Amputation, which is a song from their 2nd album. So he was familiar with their prior albums. In fact I believe he said that Jim even specifically asked the producers and director to star Cannibal Corpse specifically.

I recorded the TV cut off of TBS in 2004. Six years later, I captured the VHS tape onto my computer, along with my original tape of the movie, then spliced in the deleted scenes into the original cut and made my own "Extended Version", that runs about 10 minutes longer. To this day, I can't watch any other version. It just doesn't seem complete to me without these brilliant deleted scenes.

Movies are "remastered" to suit the service that is offering them, or the studio just doesn't like those scenes, or maybe scenes are cut to make it shorter for TV to show more commercials. There is no legal requirement for them to say that it was done so new viewers never know.

Only the theatrical cut is what you see on dvd, streaming, and movie channels, and the cut shown in theaters never had the scene. The dolphin trainer scene is specifically added to the VHS version (90s broadcast TV cuts may have shown the VHS version on TBS, TNT, etc). This " extra footage" is advertised in huge marketing on the front of the VHS box, and purposely included as an enticement to buy the VHS.

@@abj5791 that and it wasn't really deleted scenes.. before the time of watching bloopers, extra scenes, and deleted scenes. the had two versions of the film. imagines watching this movie, and watching it without these parts in it. then to watch it again, but some of the scenes that u originaly saw, was cut out, and u put these scenes in there. I had a recorded, HBO/vhs of the movie, and I would see these deleted scenes on tv. which movie is right? lol

The "Dolphin Trainer" segment is still missing the part where she asks him "Are you finished?" and then he says "Now I'm finished". Also, there was another small snippet of Cox and Tone Loc right before the Superbowl starts and Jim gets to the warehouse. Those deleted scenes are probably still floating around somewhere depending on who taped any of those TBS/TNT broadcasts back in the day when the deleted scenes were almost always added back in.

Most likely to get the run time down. Some of the scenes go on too long, are redundant, or simply don't add much to the plot. Cutting scenes makes the movie flow better, and allows them to squeeze in another showing in a day.
