Even if Natsu couldn't eat fire, he has shown to be able to touch and harm beings of fire just like Ace. There's a dragon in the manga called Atlas Flame who's not solid, pure fire. Natsu was still able to jump onto his back, punch him and all.

Thinking now, I've just realized that Ace's logia intangibility is useless, as Natsu has shown to be able to physically interact with a being who is made solely of fire. Namely the Fire Dragon, Atlas Flame, who has some form of intangibility similar to Ace's (In that it works when he wants it to), but could not use it against Natsu.

Tbh, i don't see how that breath at the end affected Ace in any way...Ace is not dumb enough to get eaten....So realistically, it's a stalemate. Natsu can't hurt Ace and vice versa. Well, actually Ace could still use his fists to whack Natsu around, while Natsu's punches will just go through.

Technically Natsu can just eat Ace at any moment he transforms, or just eat any of Ace's attacks. Meanwhile, due to the nature of Natsu and his superior flames, he could burn Ace like Akainu did with his magma.

To be fair to Ace, he never actually saw himself as untouchable since he's been touched before n it wasnt confirmed that he had multiple types of Haki til later on. Plus I wouldn't consider Natsu's skill or physical capabilities to surpass Luffy's and Ace had the same physical abilities as him if not greater. I'm still satisfied with the animation quality and outcome tho

Anyway it was evident that Natsu was trampling Ace, but against Ace's brothers it will be tough .... but in the end Natsu would be the winner both for durability and for destructive power. Natsu managed to make a Shot with 100.000.000+ points to knock down Aldoron which is as Giant as a mountain range so Natsu is Multi continental + precisely because he defeated aldoron and Multi continental (I'm talking about Power)
