I know right? The lyrics are so evocative of the season. It makes me think of Magneto's aspirations for Genosha and Prof. X's ideals and Rogue's feelings of wanting to help Erik lead Genosha. It has lyrics that relate to Cable and Gambit too. It almost makes me wonder if Beau DeMayo built the season around the idea of this being the song that proceeds the devastation that hits Genosha. I can't help but fanboy about how brilliant it was that they chose this song.

My favourite line from the video would have to be "Technology is not the enemy, but our obsession with it is." It's a powerful and resonant statement, one that reminds us that technology in itself is not the problem, but rather our own overuse and overdependence on it. It's a reminder to keep things in perspective and to find a healthy balance between utilizing technology and engaging in more "real" and meaningful interactions.(is what my ai said)

"Happy Nation" is a song recorded by Swedish group Ace of Base from their debut album with the same name (1992). It was first released in Scandinavia in December 1992 by Mega Records. The song reached number-one on the singles charts of Denmark, Finland, France in 1993 and 1994. "Happy Nation" was awarded with a gold record in Germany with 250,000 singles sold and a silver record in France, after 125,000 units were sold. Its music video was directed by Matt Broadley. "Happy Nation" is a mid-tempo dance-pop song with strong influences from reggae fusion and euro house. It was written by group members Jonas "Joker" Berggren and Ulf "Buddha" Ekberg and contains both English and Latin lyrics. The first verse is sung in Latin by Joker, and Linn Berggren sings the rest as the lead singer. The band has described the song, written as a response to reports of Ekberg's past associations with neo-Nazi skinheads, as an "anti-fascist song and a hymn to life". Ekberg has also said the song is a response to "everybody talking about how bad everything is! ... I think [the] best thing is to see [the] positive." The song was used in the X-Men '97 episode "Remember It", to precede a genocide. Many fans liken it to the "Rains of Castamere" from Game of Thrones which preceded the infamous Red Wedding, giving the song a new context for X-Men fans. It also experienced a resurgence in 2024 through the short-form video hosting service TikTok.
