The cool thing about this kind of character is that they’re basically completely timeless. Like, is he from 1870? 1900? 1950? Present day? Is he just an ancient wizard who’s been alive for centuries? Who knows!

In the older days, they buried some people who were still alive. So to prevent this, they would put a little bell above each grave, so if the presumed deceased "woke up", they could ring the bell. And the night guard could dig them up. That's what this reminded me of. Now they embalm people, so no danger of them being accidentally buried alive.

You should add a layer of glow in the dark paint to the lantern. Extra creepy factor when the lights go out.

Turned out really cool! Reminds me of some old monster kits where you used that rubber cement glue and glued plastic parts together and then painted it but here you are creating it all from scratch.

They need to move for stop motion. His figures are stationary. Could he make them flexible? Perhaps if he used actual fabric over jointed areas. He would still need multiple heads for different expressions

I think you should make Arachne from Greek Mythology, or maybe just a half-spider half-human. I think it would be so cool to see how you do the spider texture and anatomy! Loved this video and love your channel, your videos inspire me a lot. I paint/draw more than sculpt but I do like making little charms with polymer clay.

My favourite thing about this is probably the scene beneath him! You did such an amazing job creating the grass, walkway, and that fence! I can easily picture fog rolling around his ankles as the light from his lantern pushes back the dark in the dead of night... Wow!

Every time you upload a new video, I am in awe of your talent and attention to details. This one is no exception. Also, an idea for a monster. You could do a food/breakfast monster but every time you use or say "bake and bond" you make a little strip of bacon and put it between whatever you plan to attach.

"Make'n sure them that's buried stays buried" The extra time you took in creating the details was well worth it! It gave your character a lot of character! A crow sitting on his shoulder would have been a nice touch or maybe a toad on the path- just a suggestion! I think it's a great sculpt!

why did you glue the sculpey to the wire? what glue is that? thx OOPS. Just now reading the description. It's some liquid sculpey but I don't understand the need for that? What is the need to add that to the wire?

It helps the Sculpey adhere better to the wire. You can do it without the liquid stuff but it's more difficult and can fall off the wire and/or crack

I love how this guy came out, he looks EXACTLY like *that* guy. The one that creeps around with his lantern? You think he's a bad man, but ends up pulling the good guy out of trouble in the last act. Amazing dexterity .. you are without doubt a master of your craft.. Loved this one but would have been so tempted to put a top hat on him.. .. or a crow on his shoulder.. I could never make anything as intricate as these but Imagine how much money you would be making if you sold resin copies of your characters, or even plastic model kits.. we live in hope as I want to own your figures as I'm sure most of your subscribers do !

I absolutely love this one!! The environment that you created for him really makes him come to life and allows us to "create" his story, if you will. I would love to see you create something completely different from what you usually do, such as something genuinely creepy/horror; I'm just curious as to what your creation would look like if you went far out of your comfort zone, y'know?
