I used a hobby heatgun(for miniature heating). The part from 2:34 to 7:20, I did in 5 minutes real time. Just heat the stud, and some presure, it just pops off. Even leaves the plastic there to reuse.

What temperature have you set?

@@lzeta69 it doesn't actually have a setting, but it's called an emboss heat tool for example on amazon, it says there, it's about 300 to 350 degrees celcius, that half of what a normal heat gun delivers. This would be about 570 to 660 degrees fahrenheit.

@@lzeta69 no, because it wasn't that hot, and has a small nozzle, it just heat it up enough to pop it off.

I tried to use a heatgun(not miniature one) and couldn't reproduce your results. So i decided to just use soldering iron to push the flattened plastic pins to middle and it took probably about 45-50 min. Was able to replace keyboard without issues and then reflatten some of them to keep new keyboard in place.

My keyboard stopped working once, and weeks later works again. Months later same issue. But didn't fix itself. Also powerbutton stops working mostly, could turn it on some time, and then opened some acer app. And turned off. Bought cheap Chinese keyboard for a315, issues gone. Also it's a different keyboard, (different mechanism) and some special buttons are labeled on wrong keys, but it works fine.

Don't bye this laptop. This is not the way to make laptops. Normaly you switch a keybord in between 3 minutes.
