It is necessary to disassemble all the laptop to clean the fan ?
@krzysztofbracha68526 ай бұрын
Just did that yesterday and it seems like it is. The access is more complicated than on the modern laptops.

Thanks for this, it really helped me out. Two things, isn't it a bit safer to remove the RAM before disassembling? The other one, you acted kind of rough on that fan, did it run smooth and (kind of) silent like it shoul be afterwards? Again, thanks for the video. Great work!

Great work! Can I replace HDD for SSD? Could I upgrade the processor for Core I5.. I have a 5740 model
@mwys925 жыл бұрын
I successfully replaced worn out hdd for ssd in 5738z. replacing the processor is absolutely impossible. First of all, its permamently attached, secondly the socket doesnt match.

@@howfixitThank you for guidance. this here is ... about 9 years old 5738G Laptop, working well till now, should I spend on the ram and HDD upgrade+ 64 bit OS upgrade? Or buy a new laptop only? What do you suggest?

If you have any use for such an old machine, you could look for old used parts. Visit electronic waste disposal places, you could get them for free sometimes or pay little to nothing.

I have one of these...still working ok (except for the temperature, sometimes is high) but...why did they make it so f*cking hard to clean fans?!?
@i308175 жыл бұрын

Yea even I am having the same laptop it heats up to 90°c and then shuts down automatically still finding solutions to stop overheating 😓😓
@krzysztofbracha68526 ай бұрын
@arzigogolato1 @AbbasHirani Not sure if anybody ever will still want to recover this laptop 😄Followed the tutorial, disassembled parts, found the fan & heat sink were not too dusty but the thermal paste seemed to have been worn out completely with no connection left between the CPUs and the heat sink. Cleaned fan area and replaced thermal paste. That seems to have resolved the problem of the laptop switching off intermittently, been running since yesterday OK, which would have not happened before the operation.
