Hallo Alex, auch nach 6 Jahren noch ein wertvolles Video! Wirklich super anschaulich und in kleinen Schritten erklärt, sodass auch ein Laie die wichtigen Punkte nachvollziehen kann. Ich schließe mich den Kommentaren an, die sich alleine aus diesem Grund kein Acer Notebook dieser Serie mehr kaufen würden. Den Arbeitsspeicher derart zu verstecken ist ein absoluter Witz. Arbeitsspeicher und Festplatte sollte man meines Erachtens wechseln können, ohne das ganze Notebook zerlegen zu müssen. Dir aber herzlichen Dank für Deine Zeit und Mühe. Meine Tochter freut sich jedenfalls über die Aufrüstung ihrer alten Kiste ;-)

Hi Ingo, Danke dir für das nette Feedback. Ja das wird die nächsten Jahre denke ich immer flacher, verklebter und vielleicht auch irgendwann alles in oder an einem Chip (ähnlich wie jetzt beim M1 Mac).... ich kann es teils auch verstehen. Bei den neueren Serien von Acer bzw die Serien nach dem 573er...war es dann ja ziemlich schnell so dass du nur noch den Deckel unten abnehmen brauchtest. Der größte Nachteil heutzutage ist dann die Tastatur die heutzutage in Oberseiten eingenietet sind und drunter das Mainboard draufgeschraubt ist....der Aufwand kann riesig sein, in einem meiner Videos zeig ich es gut. Möchte nicht wissen wieviele Geräte täglich weggeworfen werden weil 1 oder 2 Tasten eines Keyboards nicht mehr gehen. Freu mich wenns jetzt immer noch läuft :)

Wer dieser Anleitung folgt wird in der Lage sein sein notebook selber zu reinigen ,den lüfter zu tauschen etc.Die für ram tausch etwas knifflige Bauart ermöglicht viele arbeiten selber zu machen und erspart einem dadurch eventuell hohe reparatur kosten.Ich habe zwar alle anfaengerfehler gemacht aber jetzt läuft er tadelos. Am besten zum lösen der haken mit dem fingernagel aussen herum entlang fahren.extra daumen hoch für das video hat mir sehr geholfen,tip top

Vielen Dank für diese Anleitung! Habe durch deine Anleitung das E15 Laptop meiner Eltern mit einer SSD bestückt. Ohne die Anleitung wäre ich aufgeschmissen gewesen und dann wäre definitiv was defekt gegangen. Wusste gar nicht das die "neuartigen" Laptops komplett aufgemacht werden müssen für HDD/RAM tauschen. Thanks a lot for this video, I had got an Acer E5-571 core i5 for just $340 USD in January 2015, to use as a secondary/entertainment laptop, but the slowness was driving me nuts, pointless to have an i5 with an HDD as opposed to SSD, it's just marketing I guess... But as of today thanks to your video, its got 8GB RAM and a 250GB Samsung EVO SSD, as fast as my other machines and should be useful for years to come. Bit of a challenging upgrade though, didn't get the sliding keyboard ribbon back in properly on the first try, but your video was a big help. Making items non user serviceable on purpose is a real shame, like what the smart phone industry has been doing even to batteries, with crazy adhesives whose sole purpose is to prevent easy service, etc. Not saying Acer did this here, but you have to wonder...

stephen spackman Shame Acer changed the design making it so hard to replace the RAM or HDD. I have Acer 5755 and E1-570, and luckily they both have just one flip (2 screws) to remove and there the RAM and HDD can easily be replaced. I upgraded both mine laptops with SSD. But now will have to think about opening simplicity before getting a new laptop in future. Wanted a new laptop and was considering this model E5-570, but now will have to rethink.

The e15 is a step in the right direction, you have easy access for the ram and hard drive there's even a slot for a m2 SSD. I have the E5-575-72N3 and access to the RAM and hard drive is very simple, the battery is the only hard part.

das Video hat mir sehr weitergeholfen. Ein kleiner Verbesserungsvorschlag: Details beim Arbeiten im Gehäuse sind z.T. nicht erkennbar, da die Kamera nicht gut plaziert war. Habe mir gestern erfolgreich eine SSD von Samsung eingebaut. Samsung bietet ein Tool an, mit dem man seine alte Festplatte clonen kann (Samsung Data Migration). Habe die neue Platte per Adapter extern angeschlossen, die Platte geklont. Dann die alte HDD ausgebaut und die SSD rein. Notebook hochgefahren. Funktioniert einwandfrei. Und die Geschwindigkeit ist gefühlt unfassbar schnell.

Hallo Alex, danke für diese schöne Anleitung. RAM-Erweiterung und der Einbau der SSD haben wunderbar funktioniert. Keine Haken und oder sonstiges abgebrochen. Evtl. kleinen Hinweis für deine Beschreibung: Installation von Win10 mittels USB-Stick auf die SSD funktionierte bei mir nur durch die Umstellung von UEFI auf Legacy im BIOS.

Thank you very much, I couldn't have upgraded the RAM without your video! By the way, the three flats that connect the keyboard/touchpad to the motherboard: the correct way to plug/unplug them is by lifting the black part of the socket (for the smaller ones) or by slightly extracting the white part (for the bigger one, I think that's the one for the keyboard). Maybe you explain this while talking in the video, but as I don't understand German and I didn't see anything about it in the subtitles, I will add this for the English speaking audience :)

This is why I look at a photo of the bottom of any laptop before I buy it to make sure. My old HP TS15 had a panel for the ram on the bottom but not the HDD that was on the other side of the mobo. I now have an acer aspire E17 from late 2016 and there is now a nice panel on the bottom giving access to the hard drive, m.2 ssd and ram. Just have to take off 3 screws. I guess someone complained and acer listened.

Habe heute ein nagelneues E5-571-36W9 bekommen und wollte gleich die interne 500GB HD gegen eine bereits vorhandene schnelle SSD Festplatte austauschen. Erst mal ein Schock, als ich gesehen habe, dass es auf der Rückseite des Notebooks nicht einmal eine einzelne Abdeckung zum Öffnen gibt! Hat aber alles super geklappt, etwas geschick braucht man natürlich schon, aber ein absoluter Anfänger bin ich nicht. Beim "Entklippen" der Tastatur ist mir zwar ein ganz kleines Stückchen schwarzes Plastik entgegengekommen, aber nur ca. 0,5mmx0,5mm, schätze von einem Hacken der Einrasterung, aber ist nichts bemerkbar und ist alles wieder fest wie vorher. Absolut Top-Video! ---> Note: 1+

Hi Lars, danke dir fürs Feedback. Ja das ist leider kein Spass in den letzten Monaten...es kommen sehr viele ähnliche Geräte heraus die wirklich komplett zerlegt werden müssen. Es ist einfach schade wenn manche Geräte in 2-3 Jahren weggeworfen werden, nur weil die Festplatte defekt ist und ein Austausch auf den ersten Blick zu kompliziert scheint. Natürlich lebe ich auch viel von der Dienstleistung, die Videos dienen auch gut dazu den Leuten einmal aufzuzeigen wie schwierig es nun wieder wird. Freu mich wenns ich helfen konnte. Morgen erhalte ich meine neuen Canon Full HD Cam und habe bereits ein passendes externes Mikrofon, dann wird auch die Tonqualität besser.

Alex Z. Da hast du Recht! Klar war mir bewusst, dass ich für 319 Euro nicht viel erwarten durfte, aber dass man nicht einmal ohne größeren Aufwand die Festplatte wechseln kann, ist schon recht unverständlich. Habe noch ein Acer Travelmate P253-E, hat vor einem Jahr 289 Euro gekostet, läuft auch einwandfrei. Für zu Hause Office, Internet und ab und an mal Fotobearbeitung muss es kein teures Notebook sein. Zumal Notebooks weniger Strom benötigen und weniger Platz. Also dein Video ist jetzt schon sehr gut aufgenommen, auch die Tonqualität ist ausgezeichnet. Klar, wenn du dich komplett wegdrehst zum Notebook ist klar, dass dann der Ton leise ist, aber dann hört man genauer hin un es passt ;) Nochmal danke für deine Anleitung! Ohne dich hätte ich mir das nicht zugetraut (trotz vorhandenen Geschickes). Gruß

Ich habe mit Acer-Support geschrieben. Die Garantie verliert man nicht durch das öffnen oder zerlegen des Notebooks. "Wir freuen uns, dass Sie sich für ein Aspire E5 entschieden haben. Die Kühleinheit als solche kann nicht direkt gereinigt werden. Sie können jedoch mit Druckluftspray das Gerät vorsichtig an den Lüftungsschlitzen reinigen. Wenn Sie das Gerät zerlegen, entfällt die Garantie nicht. Beschädigungen die durch dies entstehen, fallen jedoch nicht unter die Garantie." Alex ich hoffe ich konnte dir damit weiter helfen.

THANK YOU! This was a big help for me. My Acer Aspire is an E15 E5-572G that comes with 8GB DDR3 (Hynix Semiconductor (Hyundai Electronics) HMT41GS6BFR8A-PB). I bought 8GB of Crucial DDR3 1600 SODIMM 1.35v (CT102464BF160B). Works! 16GB shows in BIOS and Windows 8.1 now. CPU-Z shows same exact timings for both memory sticks which was why I bought this exact Crucial. By the way, I found it much easier to start peeling the keyboard from the front (space bar side) than from the back. Thanks again.

Dein Video hat mich dazu bewegt das Notebook zu kaufen obwohl es keine Wartungsklappen hat. Als Tipp: 1. Die Nasen lassen sich gut mit einer Plastikkarte (z.B. Versicherungskarte) lösen. 2. Der verbaute RAM war bei mir ein Samsung mit der Modellnummer M471B5173DB0-YK0, den es noch vergleichsweise kostengünstig zu kaufen gibt. So riskiert man keine Probleme bzgl. der Kompatibilität. Vor dem Bestellen aber nochmal mit CPU-Z absichern das es bei euch auch so ist. 3. Das vorinstallierte Windows 8 ist langsam im Direktvergleich zu einer Frischinstallation.

Gute Idee mit der Plastikkarte. Und ja richtig, am besten ist natürlich der original Speicher. In den meisten Fällen ist es jedoch leider umgekehrt, der Speicher ist meist doppelt so teuer. Ich versuche möglichst immer einen bekannten Speichertyp zu testen und dann zu nennen, so fällt es bei vielen Geräten einfacher diesen (auch stationär) zu besorgen bzw diesen dauerhaft herzubekommen. Original ist natürlich immer perfekt.

Ich habe die neue E5 573 Version in der man den Akku nicht mehr rausnehmen kann.Allerdings muss ich sagen ist es dort deutlich einfacher an die Rams und die Festplatte zukommen. Man kann dort ganz angenehm das unterteil des Laptops lösen und kommt so ohne Probleme an Ram und Festplatte ran. Übrigens ist auch in diesem Modell noch ein unbesetzter Ramplatz zufinden.

Hi, gutes Video - allerdings würde ich davon abraten, die Tastatur/ Abdeckung/ Handauflage so zu öffnen. Zu groß ist die Gefahr, dass man ein der Plastiknasen abbricht. Eher so: Vorsichtig an einem Eck mit Fingernägeln aufbiegen, mit einem etwa 3mm schmalen und flachen Schlitz-Schraubenzieher reinfahren und die Schließen (in die die Plastiknasen einrasten) weghebeln - natürlich vorsichtig! Also, da die Plastik-Nasen von der Abdeckung nach unten ragen, sollte man den Hebel zu allen Seiten nach AUSSEN richten. Bodenschale nach außen und Abdeckung nach innen helbeln. LG

Hi Alex, Thanks for the video. I managed to change the hard drive using your tutorial. A couple of things people should watch out for.... The lead for the keyboard isn't attached by the normal flip up connector, It has a silly piece of plastic which clips slides into place after you inserted the lead. Be careful with this as its easy to snap off the connector at the side. Also, the first time I clipped it all back together the keyboard wasn't working so I had to undo it all again. make sure the lead is pushed right back in up to the white line then slide the (stupid) clip back into place. Why they didn't just use the flip up connector is very strange as they use them elsewhere? The keyboard and laptop case took some parting as well and a few off the plastic connectors broke but this wasn't really a problem as of course it all screws back together from the bottom. If you don't want to snap these connectors be very careful when pulling the top off. There isn't a lot of room to work in when putting the three leads back so it might be useful to have someone hold the laptop keyboard in place so you can use both hands as these little leads are very fiddly to get back in place one handed. Lastly, have a torch handy as its easier to do these jobs with a bit of light on the pieces in question. Acer have come up with a poor design as having to take a laptop apart just to change a hard drive is a nonsense really.

Sehr schönes Video! Das steht mir die nächsten Tage auch noch bevor. Ich hab das Modell E5-571-52 vx. Was bei mir nicht funktioniert ist ein BIOS Update. Jetzige Version 1.16 laut Acer Supportseite gibt 1.32 kurz nach dem ausführen der Datei friert alles ein. Trotz Administrator. Ich weiß keinen Rat. LG

Hi, ich habe heute (vielen Dank gleich vorweg für die tolle Anleitung) in meinen Acer E5-511-46x5 Laptop (alles ist ident mit dem Laptop im Video) eine Verbatim SSD-Festplatte 500GB und 2 Stk. 8GB Ram (PC3 12800S (DDR3L)) eingebaut. Hat alles gut funktioniert dank deiner Anleitung. Das Starten war problemlos, jedoch die Installation vom Betriebssystem über USB-Stick funktionierte erst nach dem 3. Anlauf unglaublich langsam - inzwisdchen mehrere Stunden. Im Bios wird alles korrekt angezeigt von Festplatte und deren Größe. Auch die 16GB Ram werden korrekt angezeigt. Der Laptop ist jedoch jetzt schon bei der Installation, wie gesagt, fürchterlich langsam. Habe ich etwas falsch gemacht (Kontakte schlecht angeschlossen, etc.) oder verträgt mein Acer die Größe der Rams oder die SSD-Festplatte nicht? Vielleicht kannst du mir dabei einen Rat geben. Vielen Dank.

Hy Alex, danke dein Video war eine kaufentscheidung.... im Datenblatt steht bei Cyberport das es keine Klappe gibt und ein austausch der HDD gegen SSD nicht möglich ist... dank deinem video muste ich nun doch kaufen.. P.S. gleich Abonniert gruss Tom

Hi Tom, freut mich. An sich ein schönes Gerät in dieser Preisklasse. Ich würde ganz ehrlich als Cyberport auch selbiges schreiben. Stell dir vor wenn da ausstauschbar steht. Wieviele Kunden würden sich nicht trauen dieses Gerät zu zerlegen usw...bei den kaum vorhandenen Gewinnspannen in diesem Bereich darf es eigentlich sogut wie keine Rücksendungen geben, schon gleich keine mit halb geöffneten "gescheiterten" Umbauversuchen. Ich kann also durchaus verstehen dass sofern keine Wartungsklappe vorhanden ist die Shops das so schreiben.

Great video. I have the Acer Aspire E15 ( E5-521-8453) and wanted to upgrade the existing 8 GB Ram to 16 GB Ram and to replace the 1 TB SATA HDD with an SSD. After watching this video many times, I decided to plunge ahead. Parts are ordered so this will be my summer project. Unbelievably stupid design in my view.

Alex Z. it was only a tiny bit different inside but almost identical i upgraded my ram to 8gb and it helped alot in my computer also deleting a ton of acer useless software i dont need helped the computer run smoother

So uncomfortable :( On my old HP 550 it laptop takes 5-10 min, just unscrew 1 screw, from backside, remove a little cover, replace memory, attach cover, screw it again. Why it so complicated on newest laptops ?

this exact way for opening (forcefully) the laptop cracked the bottom shell and repair is worth close to 100$. A better way is using some plastic card/tool inbetween as some other videos on KZbin demonstrate. Hope this helps.
