I just want to say I bought a computer a few years ago and has never been used. Thanks to YOU, I can finally get in my brand new laptop (of a few years) lol and use it . When i do that, it says i need to make space before it can do that. And that's telling it to wipe everything! I downloaded Rufus, and now i see, there's no boot from usb option!!

if you are in the market for a new laptop I would recommend an ASUS due to how they are manufactured now compared to HP, Dell, Gateway, etc today. If. What he says doesn’t work this other way should work power off laptop hold alt & F11 while tapping power bottom once keep holding alt & F11 until acer loading screen appears can take up to a couple mins so don’t worry once loading screen appears let go of alt & F11 hit trouble shoot then hit reset after that couple more option for keeping files or not then reset your welcome hope this helps

Mine did not , it went straight to shutdown and I’m still pressing the shift. It turns on normal but I don’t remember the password , just the hint! I don’t have a reset Disk. Can Microsoft help.

What city are you in? Go to a laptop and phone repair place, they will have knowledge of who can help and how much it will cost. Get a few quotes it might surprise you.

I have an Acer Spin 1 - Windows 10, which I just took out of storage after several years. I tried this step, but it doesn't complete it and prompts "additional free space is needed on the drive where windows is installed. Free up some space and try again" In my head I'm saying.. How can I free up space if I can't remember my password to get into windows? Lol

Hold alt & F11 press power button once while holding both alt & F11 once acer loading screen pop up hit trouble shoot then reset laptop few steps after that for keeping files or not then reset should work hope this helps
