Not really helpful if you just forgot the password and want to boot your computer keeping everything else the same. That "Keep your files" options still asks for password. Really useless..

Man! you're just a life saver,😭 I clicked something wrong in the boot settings and I can't get in my laptop after restarting.😮‍💨 because the prompt to enter the PIN is not up and there is no way I could reset the PIN. No. You must lose the files and unlock the pc. You must sacrifice the files unfortunately, unless you look for high end hackers or fbi techs to break into it.

On your startup window under accessablility, click the online keyboard once, click the shift button-(it should remain highlighted if you press it one time only) , click on the power button and then click restart. I had to do it that way to restart mine and get the menu. Holding the physical keyboard shift button wouldn't work for me either. If that helps

@@PC_Monkey Pro tip: Hold Power and delete , 5 seconds, release too power down the hp STREAMER ,(Only for this convo) now power UP same way , hold power and Delete 5 seconds will No Fail , everytime enter the advanced REPAIR Tier ADMIN and give you stronger power to get and hold for opening DATA that is impossible too save in the other Power Mode , also remember the edit JF power too ULTIMATE worx wonders on these streammers , add code too cmd as admin and type power in Prompt open EDIT , plug in , set to never processors need 100% value , ( use 96% plugged in, 7 % battery) Maximum Performnace window drop settings, click DOWN Arrow* , set too ULTIMATE PERFORMANCE , now dont be playing youtube , Streming STEAM * Etc. low graphix set on GAME , use a good Monitor and use them settings , LG has pre-sets on IPS versions old and new , HDMI cord to a 27 -36 inch monitor is threshold for model 14eb171wm win11pro hundreds of sucesses. im doing win10 home to win10pro TI NY as we speak and ran into one another , nice work bro . sending some love too , im on Tank Force ex devs , thru STEAM running specific SETS for this HP STREAMER, it is the cheapest yet

Only got half way through when I got an error saying: ADDITIONAL FREE SPACE IS NEEDED ON THE DRIVE WHERE WINDOWS IS INSTALLED. So how do you free up space when you can't even Log In??????

If the reset option does not work and you are unable to reset, perhaps try the new install option. At 1:56 in this video, choose the bottom option for 'Advanced Options' instead and follow the prompts for the New Install. You may need to use a Install Media USB option to finish the new install option. Thanks :) You can click on the Heart button with a $ inside it. Its in the same row as the Like button under the video usually. Even if you cant, the comment and view are enough !!!
