I will say, it really is the loudest i've encountered in turbo mode, but it also has a much larger 'engine' than I've had before so... I really don't care! :D

A 3060 laptop shouldn't be more than 1300$ period. Seems like laptop manufacturers missed the memo, instead of hiking prices last year when desktop parts were costly and a general chip shortage, we still got decent deals. Rather, this year they marked up by 30-45%, with 40 series around only half an year away

Only a 20% mark up, quite a bit but have to consider inflation has been about 10% lol. 40xx close for desktop but shouldn't see it in laptops until next spring. Hopefully Amazon gets it for $1400 or otherwise best buy should have it on sale for that price every other month or so.

Can you do like a speed test with the cpu. Like can you show how it handles ordinary things like how fast youtube and websites load or try mulitasking with it. Maybe you can show us how it handles running high quality videos kinda like 4k. Also, can you do a comparison video between the Acer Predator in the video and the Asus Tuff F15 2022? It pretty much has the same specs but I want to see which one is better. I've also heard that Killer™ Wi-Fi 6E AX1675 was slow on download speeds. Could you also test that too? I know I'm asking for a lot but I just want to know if I'm spending my money on the right product.

Any modern laptop you pay more than 700$ for will handle all those tasks with ease. The Killer Wifi Card is maybe slightly below the Intel WiFi card but you really only need to worry about avoiding anything with a MediaTek card. This is a way better laptop than the F15, the F15 isnt bad this year but is a budget portable laptop. Now compare it to say the ASUS ROG and it's gonna be pretty close

Looks like the 3070 is low powered, roughly equivalent performance to the 3060 (albeit lower power). Also, the screen seems to be a big weakness in the Asus.

Easiest way is to look at the hinges, the older models have the hinges flush with the sides of the laptop. The newer models have the hinges indented about an inch and a slightly larger gap between bottom of screen panel and keyboard deck

The only 3080 one is the spatial labs edition which is extremely expensive because it has a gimmick. In general top tier laptops aren't worth it. Your best going with the mid tier options. (2070, 3070 etc).

Hello, the laptop is metal except the bottom cover which is plastic. Your other questions are hard to answer because there are different varieties, some have per key RGB. Some have 1080p screens some have QHD 1440p. Do you know the specific model number like for example PH315-55-70ZV

Um probably L5P but I would just go on your preference which one you like more. The 5 pro is going to be slightly better at Ray Teaching/ super graphics focused games. The Helios has a much faster processor, 5 pro generally quieter fans than Helios.

Acer perhaps is the only company that makes "different looking" laptops for different regions. "Different configurations but similar looks" is what other companies do. The US version is very different from the Asian version.

You can check video from Matthew youtube and see his version of Helios 300 2022 have a different lid, a whole new upgraded keyboard with perkey rgb, a 1080p webcam, a 240hz 1440p screen 100% dcip3. In Asia however, we yet have a different design with the lid being the same as the triton 300 from 2021 and an old keyboard like yours, 720p webcam, 165hz 1440p screen.

Never again an Acer Gaming Laptop , in 3 years two times Motherboard broken. First 2021 exchange under guarantee now 2022 no guarantee for an 12 month old Motherboard, pay 750€ for repair or get back the broken Laptop

Acer prefer to let Microsoft do the updating. I’ve had Acer laptops for last 10-15 years they were ok nothing special Acer normally don’t do regular updates and let Microsoft handle it.
