I have the 2022 Model: 11th Gen i7, NVIDIA 3070, 165 HTZ QHD screen. It came with a 1 TB Gen 4 M2 drive. I added a second 1TB M2 drive and Upgraded to 32 GB of RAM. (DDR4 3200). I really like my Acer Predator. I am not bothered by the fan noise. 'Hardly ever notice it. It boots in 10 or 12 seconds. Does anything I could possibly ask instantaneously. Yes GREAT 👍.

I think you got scammed, as the 2022 version comes with a 12th gen CPU and DDR5 RAM, and the 2021 version got the 11th gen CPU and DDR4 RAM......

Do you have any suggestions as to why my acer even when not doing anything it just use a lot of CPU and GPU around 2880 and 3450 which is very loud, it had no issues like this it started after moving from windows 10 home to windows 10 pro pls help am not a gamer, i just use it for work and graphics designs, it gets annoying

Good morning, I have an Acer Helios 300 with similar specifications as shown in the video. I'm thinking of upgrading the RAM to 64Gb using Crucial DDR5-4800 RAM. According to my research, Crucial sells an individual 32Gb stick (Crucial 32GB DDR5-4800 SODIMM (ref: CT32G48C40S5)) and also sells a 64Gb kit (Crucial 64GB Kit (2 x 32GB) DDR5-4800 SODIMM (ref: CT2K32G48C40S5). My question is if there is any performance/compatibility difference in using the 64Gb kit, compared to using two 32Gb sticks purchased separately? I'm asking this question because in my country I can get a better price buying two separate 32Gb sticks (ref: CT32G48C40S5) still getting the 64Gb, than buying the 64Gb kit (ref:CT2K32G48C40S5). The 64Gb kit is €30 more expensive than buy 2 sticks of 32Gb separately. I hope you can clarify the issue for me. Thanks

The Helios 300 17" will have the best display out of your selection. And performance should be within percentage points of these. So I would personally go for the Helios. Have you checked out all of our reviews for these? - Alex

i have the i9 3070 for a few months now and it's hard to not notice the fan noises i'd say that if you plan on using headphone 24/7, why not..

I got the predator i9 variant with 3070ti. I dont mind the noise in turbo mode. Im not a gamer, but a motion graphic artist. I just use the turbo mode when exporting.

Yeah, that is what I did during my time with it since it is good in the balanced mode without sacrificing too much performance. And since you get coffee when exporting anyways, who cares how loud it gets :D

Absolutely killer machine but I'm having to sell my brand new Predator Helios 300 with 12th gen i9, RTX 3070ti graphics and 32 gigs of ram due to family emergency. Got it for 2 lacs in India and t's just 15 days old with original box, bill, warranty, etc and I really don't want to give it away but need ugent financial support, thus the sell. im a musician, dont know too much about laptops but this one seemed perfect until the fan noise. I won’t be playing any performance demanding games, just basic music making programs. is there a setting that can silent the fan or turn it off so there’s no noise at all so it doesn’t get picked up by my mic?

During our Witcher 3 test, the Helios runs cooler but with lower clock speeds for both the CPU and GPU. But it also sports a bigger chassis and has louder fans. So it really hard to give you a definitive answer.
