This video shows you how to take apart the ACER ZC-605 AiO computer so you can replace the CMOS battery or upgrade the RAM or HDD. This also applies to the Gateway ZX4665g-UW31, which is the same computer just branded Gateway rather than ACER.
Taking the back cover off is really annoying and I struggle a bit with it.
There's also some unexpected hassle from the DVD drive tray, but this video will expose possible problems and guide you through everything I encountered.
A special thanks to Kitt Condrey-Miller - who pointed out that the DVD-RW drive can be removed to get the cover off - rather than pulling off the plastic part I removed...
There is a screw for the DVD-RW drive under the small back cover that is removed first. Look down the side with the drive there's a screw between two plastic posts. Remove that screw and slide out the entire drive - no need to remove the plastic plate on the end of the tray.
Brilliant!
And get a spudger rather than use a knife like I did...
The changes to KZbin now mean that I don't get any advertising revenue from my videos - I have the views, but I need over 1000 subscribers.
I'm never going to get rich from this, but it is nice to get something... So if you've watched this video then you can buy me as coffee using the Ko-fi link, click Like or click Subscribe. Or all three!
