use to play this when it was known/trying to promote aces high. it was called war birds 3:fighter pilot academy. its literally the same thing. looks like they actually did the updates they were talking about. had so much damn fun in that game... my first flight sim. now i have countless hours into DCS.

tct72 Not at this time, However the bombing missions in this game do take time, To conduct a proper high level bombing mission (20k+ Alt+) you can expect to set aside a few hours of your time!

I remember playing the old version on AOL called Air Warrior, after they broke off with AOL and Kesmai, but this "Aces high" came out like back in 2000 or something I don't remember if people that worked on Air warrior worked on this but when it left AOL's gaming channel they gave a like the "aces high II" as the new subscriptions based version.

Aces High...hasn't aged well. But holy shit did I have a blast playing it back in '05. It was either this or CFS3 for me. Then I found IL2 later. I just wish Il2 had these kind of huge persistent battles. Man this video takes me back to my first year in High School. In AFJROTC we had a trio of computers set up with joysticks for Flight Sim stuff. I convinced my Colonel to let me put Aces High on them and we ran the free arena matches for hours after school.

You should try b17 the mighty eighth. It's a very old game(like 2000 old) and there is no multiplayer, but it's quite detailed and very fun and I've only seen one let's play

Ah, Devil, good to see you flying as a Rook, smashing Nits and Bish. You've got a bit to learn when it comes to bombers though. 500 lbs or 1000 lbs are the onyl bombs worth bringing. Also, when in a gunner spot on a trio of bombers, you need to hit your button for firing all guns to get your AI drones to shoot at what your aiming at.

Nethen Gaming it does. this game has sooo many aircraft. b-17,b-25, b-24. IIRC the B-29 was added recently (relatively, as in like last year or so) the only thing that really sucked for me was the subscription fee, and the servers are too small IMO like 500-700 people at most, on a really large map -- and i think they've reduced that number slightly by dividing the servers into different "eras".. they used to lump all the aircraft together, the benefit to using shitty airplanes though, is when you get kills with them, you get more points, points in which you can use for rare aircraft (every time u fly and crash it though, the points are gone)... definitely check this game out if you are into flying sims at all.

It's possible for one person to fly, and another to station the guns. In other words, a maximum of two players per plane, assuming they have turrets of course.

supermax7720 it isn't a Scenario where the fights are historically correct. In the Main Arena where they are playing you are divided into 3 countries; Bishops, Knights and Rooks. Within those countries you can pick any plane you want and get into the fight
