The original of this was by Procol Harum in the late sixties and it is basically an iconic song. It's one reason why they can get away with showing the ballet stuff for quite a while is because on the keyboards it's playing the main riff from that song which for anybody that's already familiar with it, it will hold your attention. Ace, you've simply got to check out some of the work that Lucy Thomas has been doing with her younger sister Martha. There are several, but here is a link to a second version of it that they released recently. In the first version Lucy Thomas is around 16 or 17 years old but now she's 19. And her younger sister I think runs about 5 or 6 years behind her. And Martha is rapidly turning into an amazing singer as well. Mary Do You Know. Two amazing sisters with amazing chemistry blending voices in harmonies that are nothing short of angelic. I just saw it the other day for the first time, and I really like the one they released a few years ago but this just kills. Definitely had lots of goosebumps.

This is a fairly recent one by her and you know one thing I really love about it is she really shows off her lower register. She can sing like a soprano but oh my God she just sounds so good in this lower register. There's another one that's fairly recent that I think she just knocks out of the park. It was originally done by a singer named Eric Carmen in the 70s and it was a huge hit. And for what it's worth, he actually Incorporated a bit of thematic elements from either the second or the third Rachmaninoff piano concerto, if you are familiar with that classical composer. It was huge. But I think younger generations are more likely to know the Celine Dion version, which became kind of a signature hit for her. But Lucy's right up there with both of them for sure. And she puts a bit of a modern twist on it at the end that I really like.

"Toe shoes" for ballet at least traditionally when my sister was taking it when I was a little kid had little wooden blocks in the toes that you could stand on but it was something they wouldn't allow you to do until you got to a certain age. It's pretty demanding.

Nothing is more beautiful than a Ballerina except Lucy Thomas. Her vocals are so smooth and silky it's like being wrapped in a warm blanket. She is a treasure to behold. Beautiful lower register, and adding the ballerina during the musical interludes is brilliant. She has a once in a lifetime voice. 👑 She is music royalty to us, so maybe that’s why you feel “dirty”, lol. And commenter stevedahlberg is right- “All By Myself “ is a fantastic performance by Lucy. this song was originally sung/written back in 1967 the height of the hippie and drug movement and most of the lirics make no sense, like a bad trip, but the Music was beautiful and Lucy crushed this song, this was one of her latest and greatest recordings, suggest MARY DID YOU KNOW, sung with her 5 year 8 month younger sister, MARTHA ,yes her sister sings had done 8 recordings with Lucy starting when she was 10, suggest the PRAYER, OH HOLY NIGHT, WHEN YOU BELIEVE, YOU RAISE ME UP, and yes their mother sings, SMILE, where Louise joins them for a UK Mothers day celebration. Hello Ace, so you found Lucy Thomas how lucky you are she is an absolutely Superstar. You look and sound like a wonderful young man and you dress very well so stop saying you feel dirty when you not. Anyway back to Lucy your last reaction was a cover of Lucy singing " A Whiter Shade Of Pale" this record was recorded in 1967 by a British group called Procal Harum and it went to No 1 in the charts. Lucy can sing all sorts of genre from blues such as "At Last" by Etta James to all of Whitney Huston songs, to Celine Dion " All By Myself " which is a must to react to. She has a magnetic attraction as by the aura that she emanates and it comes right through our screens. We are somewhat hypnotized by it in a very pleasant way. This was Lucy at 19, 3 yrs older than she was when she sang Hallelujah. The song was a world wide number one in 1967 for Procul Harem, the lyrics make no sense and I don't think they were meant to. It's just a nice tune basically, sung here by the best singer around.

I can see the confusion on your face. You have to go back to 1967 when this was written when the writer wasn't sure whether it was day or night. Look up Procol Harum for the original recording. Lucy knocks this out of the park

Back in '67 the group confused a lot of people with this debut hit, along with their name, which was a misspelling of the Latin phrase Procul Harun (roughly meaning “far beyond these things”)😅 You'll have to forgive yourself your youth, you can't be expected to know everything✌

Lucy has an incredible voice, so clear across the range. Can i recommend you look at a duet with her sister Martha, my favourite is 'the prayer' but have also just released 'mary did you know' before Christmas. Their harmonies are stunning. Any Lucy performance is perfect though so you will never be dissappointed with any song you choose to listen too.
