It was Mariah the part you was referring to sir , where she goes low then high when they are blending and mixing vocals together, love them power they both have that soft rich tone but Whitney got that unmatched effortless power and Mariah has that unmatched range that will take you higher than heaven and together it’s magical beyond belief ❤️ the voice and the songbird supreme 2/3 of the vocal trinity and for a reason ✊🏾

@@diorrboyyyy What?? Whitney's runs in this performance were pretty extra. Mariah stuck mostly to the runs from the record; they were tasteful and weren't extra at all. And the few runs she sang were mostly in a soft whispery falsetto. Whitney improvised a lot of extra belted runs that weren't on the record, especially at the climax. Just compare the record to this performance. I don't see how anyone could think Mariah's runs were extra... I have no problem with Whitney improvising a bunch of belted runs in the moment, but to say Mariah's runs were extra, when Whitney was doing more over-the-top running is just straight delusional. That said, I don't think Mariah's runs were more challenging (to the original point) and it's not a competition. This was a beautiful duet between two equally talented vocal legends who had mutual love and respect for one another.
