Ascent Combat Framework is an Unreal Engine Plugin created by a man that goes by Pask on Discord. If you have any questions about the product please click / discord and ask him your pre sale questions there.
ACF is a highly optimized and advanced all in one tool for combat, stats, and anything involving the two that was made much easier for users, both new and advanced, to quickly create prototypes and video games. As of now the template project available for purchasers is in 3rd person but templates are being made for top down and first person. To learn more about it please go to the link below.

In this series I will be recreating the provided project Pask gives to his buyers that helps everyone learn more about his tools. In an attempt to help those who struggle with that method of learning I will be going through it in its entirety, helping new users to see where all of the boxes connect so that they too can use these powerful tools efficiently for their projects.
Once we have finished with this project I will continue on with adding onto it using another one of Pask's plugins called Ascent Toolset.
NOTE - I do not provide any materials and everything you see within this series is provided by Pask and is useless without his plugins.

Yes, it is on my list to go over the enemy AI and how it is all working together. AI is not where my strength lies but I will at least get it working identical to the project and make sure I fully understand how it functions so I can explain how it is all connected.

Just found this, kind of a general question: what are the general advantages of using this framework? Is it mainly for storing stats? Making attributes derive their value from them? Or am I missing the point?

no question, just me venting because all my abilities and some functionality just disappeared when I upgraded to 5.3

Ah, that would be why you don’t store your work in the plugin. I’ve done it before too

@@wonderscapecreations My problem is that I'm the story guy, trying to somehow do the rest too. I can understand what's going on, but it is for sure not my strong point. I don't even know how to NOT store the work in the plugin.

I’ve gone over this in the first few episodes and remind throughout the series. You need to create a folder in the content folder and store your work there. If you plan on changing stuff that’s in the plugin, don’t. Duplicate it or make a child of it. It is in at least a third of my videos. If you need extra help understanding then you need to reach out in the discord and I can help from there.
