To me, this is a classic Alex video: a wonderful mixture of building materials and methods. That being said, the reno series is also wonderful. At this point in my YT consumption, your channel is one that I trust to make entertaining content despite subject so do whatever you want! I know it'll be fun and engaging to watch.

It doesn't matter whether I prefer Shop or Renovation videos - You CAN'T stop with the Renovation videos until I see you put the last spoon in a drawer or a cushion of the sofa. The series is not only very informative as well as entertaining, it is fascinating to see your design plans come to fruition and it would be TORTURE to not see the finished result........

I like the content for the Renovation and the shop work, but what I absolutely admire is how you weave the content together, and tell a good story with this video of doing the renovation, seeing the problem, designing a solution, and implementing it, that’s a fantastic way of tying things together, beyond the project itself being very interesting

Really nice concept. I would definitely move that weight so that it would be accsessible from the back. Also a locking mechanism for the drawers on one of the side would be an ideal so they would not slide out when carrying it. Then one could remove the weight without taking all of the boxes out and possibly (if the boxes aren't too heavy) carry it. Just a thought. Still a very good video and you're a such an inspiration. I really appriciate it!

It's time to change your approach with cement tile. The solution is a mechanism that prevents the opening of more than one drawer at the same time. A simple lever mechanism, I have seen it on the industrial cabinets that we use at my workplace. We work with heavy tools and if you open just two drawers the whole cabinet falls over. Love the good content from you. Keep it up!

The weight in the back prevents tipping, but as you found is extra weight when moving the entire unit. Another solution would be to add eye bolts in the center of each drawer where you have all that extra space behind the boxes. At the midpoint of height each drawer put a hook. Like the part of a latch you would put a padlock through. Then pass a cable through all the eye bolts and hooks in a giant S pattern that repeats. Affix one end to the top drawer eye bolt and the other to the bottom drawer eye bolt. Leave enough slack to have 2 drawers open (or even just one. Now as you open too many drawers it either won’t let you or it will automatically pull in another. You can never have more than 2 (or one depending on cable length) open and this it won’t tip. No extra weight either.

Cool stuff! Love your organizers, and this is a neat addition. A couple of possible add-ons: have either thin doors that can stay against outside of cabinet, or close over drawers to keep them contained (or if you don”t want drawers, just a small strip that locks drawers closed. The other thing would be to attach the concrete counter weight to the back panel, and have the panel be able too remove into a separate piece for easier lifting.

Love the assortments, I use them in my desk drawers to stay organized. Now you need to come up with something like this that works with small parts. I have lots of containers of m2-m8 screws, nuts, and washers where the little dividers fall out and you end up with a scattered mess!

I don’t have any youTube videos, but I do have several 3D printers, lots of shelving, lots of clutter as a result of the 3D printers in the apartment, as well as my various projects. Those include designing card and board games as well as working with electronics. I just ran across this video today, don’t remember if I’ve watched any of his past videos. But, I was searching at The Container Store and found nothing that made sense for my use-case. I’ve got a 3D-printed concept in mind that’d provide more flexibility than what he showed here (I have very limited space, I need to be more efficient) that’d be reasonably be compared to the Lego set of small organizing drawers/compartments, including making it feasible to have odd-shaped (not just rectangles, but a T, as an example) compartments. A lot of what I need to contend with for electronics are surface mount components: some are only a few mm long, and I may not have a lot of them. The sizes of boxes he’s using would be absurdly wasteful. I’m thinking I’ll get the grid down to perhaps 1 cm on center, maybe 2 cm on center, because there’s a practical minimum, as much for human ergonomics (2 cm may make more sense) for fitting fingers. If you weren’t horribly space-constrained and you had lots of Lego pieces or the money to buy them, you can absolutely make the small containers very modularly that way. The lego system isn’t about space-efficiency, though, and it’s not cheap!

Build stuff, organization stuff, design stuff, and occasionally renovate stuff. 3D printing has become accessible to many people, so ideas you use with 3D printed parts is awesome. I wish wood prices would plummet again because I've got a garage that NEEEEDS stuff to be organized and a table saw, jig saw, router, pull saw, and skill saw that are getting lonely. I've also got 4 or 5 3D printers that need more work after Christmas stuff has been printed, built, and given away.

Love the concept. I would recommend adding locking casters in the front to prevent it from rolling around as you pull out a drawer. Front locking caster are easier to reach. Additionally, I would recommend adding a drawer latch to keep the drawers from opening unexpectantly when whisking the cabinet to the next room. I live in California, so most of my drawers (and bar clamp racks) are earthquake safe using a piece of 3/8" (9.5mm) all thread with a locking nut on top (to be used as a little handle to turn the rod) and a t-nut mounted to the bottom of the cabinet. I use some flat bar with rounded edges sticking out the front (top and bottom) with a 1/2" hole for the rod. I have also used an open spot on the side of the drawers or the back of the drawers. The advantage is the you do not need to unlock each drawer. turn the bar, pull it out and you are good to go. BTW, my suggestions are worth every penny you paid for them.

Great design 👍 One thing I would want to add would be a way to prevent the drawers from opening when you are rolling it around. A vertical slide at the rear that has a tooth in each drawer could be used to lock them all in. Also, I spotted the metal you added to the rear corners, I assume to also counteract the warping.
