Achieving Everything in Final Fantasy 1 is Insanity

Final Fantasy 1 might be only 144 Kilobytes in size, but achieving everything in the game is an amazingly hard task. Beyond beating the game, or completing the bestiary and every side quest, what nonsense ways can we expand the time to complete Final Fantasy to insane levels? There's a lot you can do to expand this game to sizes that rival Final Fantasy 14, just almost assuredly 100% less fun.
Thanks for watching! This was a fun video to produce, as I love the Final Fantasy series and really enjoy talking about all kinds of crazy challenges within these games. If you enjoyed, I have many more plans for stuff like this, so please Like, Share, Comment and Subscribe!

What about stepping on every tile of the game with every character at every level? how could a game be complete without that ?

@@ebrahimnaeem757 50 _factorial_ to the power of 6. but actually, i dont remember why i thought that was the correct math, though. it may be, but i dont remember my reasoning for why 50!^6. but just to put that into perspective, that is: 7.9149693025518871556863281273387e+386. which is basically all those numbers before the *e,* to the power of 10 followed by another 386 zeroes, lol. EDIT: still not sure why i had a factorial, but the max level in the OG NES FF1 is 50 and there are 6 classes.

It's called FADE and it will deal 80-320 damage, but usually in the 80-160 range for Chaos. It's probably not better than just attacking and hoping for crits while using the same spell slots to full heal over and over instead.

Hey Seer, I subscribed during the peak of Diablo 2 Resurrected Hype, and I just wanted to say it's good to see you branch out into other topics / games as well, despite your D2R content being the most popular at the time of writing this. I subbed because you're a funny dude and your content cheers me up, not just because of D2R. KZbin Channels starting to really take off unfortunately often makes creators feel obliged to stick to the content that helped them break through, only for them to turn into a one-trick pony and get burned out within less than a year or two. I'm glad that this channel seems to be taking a different route. Keep up the good work, greetings from Germany

Ehh... i kinda felt the argument devolved when we started discussing beating the game once per permutation of character slots. If we’re going to degenerate ourselves to that level, then you can argue any game takes an infinite amount of time to 100%. I think it would make more sense if 100% was defined by actually completing novel activities in the game, instead trivial nonsense like “beat the game on warrior warrior rogue rogue and then rogue rogue warrior warrior” cuz after several runs with similar compositions, they’re all gonna feel the same. U feel me?
@seer6251
@seer6251 3 жыл бұрын
I do feel you! Even when making this I had my doubts. But I feel like the fun is going as nuts as possible, and making things stretch as far as they'll allow, but the 'whammy' factor in this video wasn't too impressive. It's just amazingly tedious lol. I feel like I could've improved it, but I'm still happy with the end product, and I'll just have to try and keep refining how I do this series of videos.

Fun fact, even resisted spells in FF1 have a 3/255 chance (which is supposed to be 1/201 but isn't because of RNG weirdness) of working no matter what. This lets you use the Bane sword on anything to potentially instant kill it, which is actually very important for the White Mage and Thief against Chaos because he's nearly impossible to kill with physical attacks if he sticks Slow on you (with is about a 75% chance, as SLO2 is a non-elemental spell and player characters have crappy magic defense). You might honestly be more likely to win if you just use the Bane sword over and over instead of even bothering to try and hit him normally, it's kind of hard to tell. I'm so glad the Black Mage gets FAST so he doesn't have to worry about it at all; he's much worse in many other parts of the game but the final dungeon is an absolute cake-walk compared to the other two difficult classes. Note that this is assuming that you don't promote, a promoted Thief could probably just kill him normally without too much trouble. I did solo unpromoted classes though for some reason.
