According to the avp prey novel (Ryushi) the loss of a queen does NOT doom a hive's surviving drones. Here we have a statement that claims that the xenomorphs are capable of spontanious transformation to the opposite sex, in times of extreme need to escape the hive's destruction. Should a situation leave a hive with out a queen, a random drone of the survivors will start to morph n transform into q queen. I'd add if there further isn't a queen egg still active n getting ready to hatch. In the refered book was nohere a thing written about special eggs n spacehuggers for a future queen but it also wasn't denied n for a queen not to have one just then, of course doesn't mean their not a thing. That function of becoming a queen as last resort, is also not in other sources that i know. Indeed such a "emergency back up" ability would fit perfectly with a being evolved to b perfect in any aspect that could b in question. Actually it is the only logical way, without would it mean the most important Point, the provider of continuos survival as the actual weakest spot that offers a chance 4 almost a killswitch or if a rare special egg is out, then two what still makes that not remotely perfect in terms of protection here. It is also a real thing for certain mushrooms n certain jelly fish, to have a double recreational function that 4example after getting seeded a polyp is dropped which is alrady loaded with smaller n also alre'ady furtilized "ready2go" polyps that the main polyp drops on his way to the ground. Also some have an emergency mechanism that such "instant furtilized" loads drops in a situation thsat is judged to imply a certain deqth in lil' time. Of couse ppl went ahead n tryed to mass destroy them with blades from boats like the way they slaugther thuna as well. An area gets cut off n they hack n slay all that moves. Imagine the success if each killed reacted only with 10 new, which prolly doesn't nearly is what they really drop in numbers.

Interesting trivia. On a more obscure note: "Dutch Schaefer" and "Speedy Matheny" were both American race car drivers in the late 1940's. You can find their names listed in the race results of that era.

Something I find pretty surprising that I didn't realize until this video is that no matter what clan a predator is from, other predators or predators from the same clan are always going to go collect the technology stolen from whoever took them (most likely the humans)

Acidglow, I love these videos you're doing of the Yautja. They are extremely interesting to watch and you must've done your homework really well to be well knowledgeable about this franchise. So thank you for uploading them and keep it up. One question though before I go: Are you a Xenomorph or a Yautja fan yourself? For me though, I'm the best of both worlds: the Predalien. I love both species on their own as well but the Predalien does it for me. My favourite one is the BG-386 Predalien from AVP PS3.

After listening to a lot of this lore it always makes me wonder, in a society that is driven by hunting and honour, Who develops all this wonderful technology, surly if your a predator it would be shameful to become a scientist or an engineer so did they steal the technology? Or buy it from another species.

I heard in one of these videos that there is also another few kinds of "predators". Some being thinkers and stuff. My question is, why give the toughest guys the coolest weapons? Why not let them start out like a juggernaut, and as they progress, the remove armor and weapons bit by bit. Until they're just killing things with their hands and fully exposed. Surely that's tougher than blasting things from a canon

​@@ticket2space621 Maybe because as they get more experienced and skilled, they see certain prey as not worth it therefore they discard them in more dishonourable ways till they get to the prey they want and then strip off like burlesque and fight with only wristblades or melee? Yknow like wolf and jungle hunter. But I 100% agree and it would be very interesting if that were the case with them.

The thing with Predator comics are the artists are very liberate with the Predator design 😂 Very little of them are accurate. Most of the Predator character artworks in the comics look like a 'loose description' of a Yautja.
