Thanks Aaron, I'm enjoying the book and video lessons heaps. The book is beautifully produced. I love the handmade feel it suits the music. To practice getting used to the different strings I use the melody note (Tock) to play a scale and then come in with the Tick-A as you describe. It's really helped me to improve my accuracy for the different strings. Seems some other people are having the same problem so I thought I would share. Hope you and yours are weathering COVID-19 when it passes it would be great to hear you & Nicole preform in Ireland.

Thank so much for posting this. Seeing the side view was amazingly helpful. The tab is great. I was really struggling moving from just strumming in the rhythm to playing songs and now I feel like I have hope!

ty for these videos. btw i bought a 7 string russian guitar which i wound up never using which i reduced to 4 strings and tuned to banjo tuning and the strings are nicely spaced apart so i can try these videos and the clawhammer style. ty again

Wonderful lessons! I am having so much fun and look forward to the other lessons. A quick question - what finger do you use to do the third fret of the third string on the C chord? The third finger is already on the fourth string. It looks like the pinkie finger, but I wanted to make sure.

I might use second finger. I can’t tell which moment in the video you are talking about though, so I’m not sure.

Thank you for the response@@ackeim . Now I am not sure of the moment I was talking about, but the good thing is I somehow got past it anyway and am happily progressing. As an educator myself, I just have to say that your lessons - the targeting of certain skills, the appropriate level of challenge - are so spot on! Excellently done!

I can understand the technique, but when there is talk towards the chords and the strings in individual notes I get lost. Eg, the explanation in Mary had a little lamb. What video do you recommend for this?
