Dad used to play this on clarinet, not as well as Acker, but would give all to hear him play it again. He died 18.10.2022, sleep well dad

1961 I was just 11 and this was a captivating piece of music and there were more instrumentals in those days, unforgettable days and this like so many others takes me back to childhood days.

This was my wedding song back in 1971. It would seem strange a NYC 21 year old would choose this, but it is a wonderful musical piece. I listen to it often.

one of my local heroes lived just up the road from me. My uncle was his road manager. Story goes they when to Spain for a show turn up at the hotel and my uncle had not booked to rooms. great sound.

Thank you for this REACT. My dad played clarinet in a Dixieland Jazz band in his younger years. Naturally, I grew up loving the sound of a clarinet. The record sounds just like a clarinet sounds. The technology makes the music that much clearer and that much more beautiful. Thanks again!

The name Acker is a old English term for "friend" as in "hello me old Acker"

He was agreat jazz musician but did like a drop of whiskey in the concert I have few of his albums along with Kenny Ball and the great Chris Barber.You should check out Chris Barber's wife Ottillie Patterson what a Jazz voice.
