ACL Surgery or No Surgery? Important Factors to Consider.

I fully tore my acl almost 2 months ago. I am currently doing rehab and have not felt any instability or buckling in the affected knee. i can run up the stairs and even pivot without any difficulty. My chiropractor is saying my knee is built well and the muscles are already compensating for the lack of acl. So i think the non surgical route is the best for me.

Hi, thank you so much for the videos you've made for us regarding the ACL surgery. I'm having mines in two weeks. Can you share the leg equipment you shared in your video? It looked like a bicycle sitting on the floor. Where can we buy this? And how long did it take before you started to drive again and actually use this equipment.? What was your diet like? Thank you

Absolutely! The machine is used on the floor is called a CAMOped Knee CPM. My surgeon prescribed it as a rental so it was covered by insurance. But there are places you can rent them on your own. I was recommended to start using my CAMOped as soon as possible, so I started the day after surgery. I was able to start driving maybe around the 8 week mark? But it's different for everyone. I had to wait a bit longer to drive because I broke my kneecap 14 days after surgery. As far as diet goes, I have another video in my ACL playlist about nutrition for injury recovery. That should help!

Hi I appreciate your videos. I get my surgery on Thursday. I opted for my surgery because currently my knee doesn't straighten and gym time to time it hurts.
