As the bauxite train service to Alcoa Alumina Refinery, at Kwinana Beach, has now finished operation. The three existing wagon fleets are now redundant.
In two bauxite fleet wagon transfer movements. A fleet of the XC class wagons, were spotted at Forrestfield 3rd June.(Previously hauled by P2508 ex Kwinana)
And this video shows the second batch, numbering 53 XC class wagons. Also being transferred to Forrestfield, from Kwinana.
ACN 4146, a Narngulu based locomotive, working the Karara Mining iron ore train services. Is seen, passing by near Russell Road, Wattleup, for Forrestfield.

ACN 4146 was spotted heading to Aurizon Forrestfield Workshops. From Narngulu, a few days earlier. And had run LE from.Forrestfield, to collect the XC class wagons.
The XC class bauxite hoppers, were built by the WAGR, and first introduced in 1968.
Andy May, of Andy May's Railway Page on the web. Mentions that all of the 113 XC class were still in operation in 2010, with the bauxite haulage.
At the moment, the XC class bauxite wagons. delivered to Forrestfield, are stored in the yard tracks.
Their immediate future, has not been officially announced as yet. Though it is believed, they won't be scrapped.
